why? I think it's a good way to introduce a love interest for the Kid and it ties in with the storyline of him wanting to do good things in the city.

Prince has forsaken the music biz and is now a minister

with a church located at the old nightclub. He has poured

all his money into his church and his ministry but unfortunately

he is about to go bankrupt and lose it all. His only hope is

if he can get his masters back from his recording dqys and

make some $ selling them. The record company agrees to give

him his master recordings back provided he get the old gang

together and do one last tour. Including Morris and company.

Problem is the Kid and Morris are no longer talking since Morris

is the reason the Kid is broke.

Can the Kid and Morris put their differences aside and create new music?

And what about the discarded Revolution members?

Will they even speak to the Kid?

Why is the record co. being so agreeable?

Are they hiding some ulterior motives?

Will the Kid be seduced back into the record biz?

Is his ministry doomed?

Will the Kid find salvation or damnation?

Is this the Dawn?

This would be an amazing plot if we get rid of the pretty music teacher and get APPLES back into the story !!!!!! It could be she returns to Minneapolis for something completely different, then they meet up all of a sudden in a very dramatic place (yeah, my story telling sucks) and Prince is pissed off because Apollonia ditched him to get a career in Hollywood (even though he did the same thing with his bandmembers. But what's a Prince story without double standards?) .

Then Prince finds out Morris' child is from Aura and is heartbroken she gave the pussy to Morris and not him, but Apollonia convinces him that Aura and her shitty poems weren't worth anything anyways with a good ole session

I thought about bringing Apollonia back but I didn't know how to fit her into the storyline.

kinda makes you wonder what happened at the end of Purple Rain....did Apollonia remain with the girl group? Which band did Billy remove from 1st Avenue? Remember,he said he only has room for three acts and there were a total of four.So many questions,lol.

the music teacher can be played by Nicole Scherzinger.We know that she is Prince's "type" he could even write a few songs for her to perform in the movie,too.What do you think...would she be the perfect love interest for The Kid?

Of course, now everybody in Minneapolis calls him The Grandpa.

I'd be willing to help out with a Purple Rain sequel filmed in Paisley, Scotland.

Working title could be Grey Drizzle.

Purple Storm

The Kid, now an accomplished superstar multi-millionaire no longer interested in commercial dominance, lives as a recluse in his mansion, turning out one esoteric record after the other. He gets a call from Denise Matthews aka Vanity seeking to lure him away from his sect, The Church of Later Days' Jehovah's Witnesses' Scientology. Bored, he "fires" her again and decides to look up Appolonia, who happens to have a hot daughter. He conceives of a lingery clad trio devoted to coylyt converting the masses to his sect. Meanwhile, Vanity decides to fire back by enlisting Morris and Jerome -- they want to record "Sect Shooter". The Kid doesn't like that. A purple holy war ensues.

I like to think the Kid is dead, probably went flying off his bike and broke his neck. He never actually got to the big time because of his self-destructive tendencies. Apollonia on the other hand went on to be a H-U-G-E star and Morris practically runs the music biz. Funny how things turn out. Purple Rain 3.

Fun ideas so far!

Here's another...

The Kid is a complete recluse living somewhere in the shadows in Minneapolis. Nicole S is a plain-jane, no-frills teacher in a Minneapolis Music School that is about to get shut down because the school can't support itself. Nicole S racks her brain to figure out how she can possibly save the school. She becomes convinced that a former Minneapolis royalty fundraiser concert will save the school. Long story short, she finds out where he lives through a series of investigative run ins with Morris Day and the Time and Andre Cymone and others (that we would obviously see in live concert and/or rehearsal as part of the movie progression). Though he sees her through the windows of his home, she tries but fails to get him to let her in to hear her proposal. Finally, she shows up as the sultry Nicole S we know and love, and obviously The Kid decides to hear her out. Long story short, he listens to Nicole S proposal and agrees to see the school, but with the only real motive of taking Nicole S to the basement to listen to "the girl crying on tape". When he gets to the school, cue the adorable kids who melt the Kids heart, through a combination of quirky personalities and great music and then eventually, the Royal Concert; and the school is saved! After the credits/near the end, the Kid is shown to be so moved, he decides he wants to come out of the shadows and be a mentor/teacher in the school. Which leads to... a Fame/Mr Hollands Opus/School of Rock type series that Prince sticks with or cameos on every so often...

He has 1 kid named Denise Nelson, after his loooong time lover denise.

Prince & his ol' buddies go to a bar to listen to the ''NEW MUSIC''

In distaste just when they are about to leave

They see Denise Matthews. Prince rushes over there cause he aint seen her in awhile.

Denise grabs a seat & sits down. There she is left catching up.

Prince & Denise get back together BECAUSE they realized their love for each other hadn't left since then.

MAYTE GARCIA finds out. She gets angry she tries to damage their relationship. Prince puts a restraining order on her ass.

Mayte somehow surpasses it & kidnappes Vanity/Denise. & the child shes been trying to kill for ages; but NEVER could reach

Prince goes through this mission of trying to get her back.

Mayte tries to kill Denise; BUT in the nic of time Prince & the old buddies come back together

as a team to kick that bitches ASS!!

The Kid is now a successful music popstar, and producing a new concept with an all girl band. But as they sit around the dressing room before a big show, one of them talks to the other as Prince silently shapes his hair not aknowledging them...

"Why can't we put out the album, we already pressed them."

"He probably dumped the box out on the ground and ran over them with his Segway."

The Kid is now a successful producer but his personal

life is hollow. He goes to a club to hear a new act Morris

recommends and likes the young male singer and decides

to take him under his wing and groom him to be a star.

They work together, write some songs, perform some songs.

He finds out his new protege is the son of a former lover

played by Sheila e.. She leads him to believe that Morris is

the father.Later Sheila's son discovers The Kid is his father

not Morris as he has been believing for years. In his fury he

jumps on his motorcycle and heads out to Lake Wharchamacallit

to think. The Kid shows up on his bike and they bond like

father and son.

It could be great.

Prince, Sheila e., Morris Day.

And Bruno Mars would be perfect as their son.

At some point in the movie could he be The Artist Formerly Known as Kid?
