Yes, 'I hate you' is another song obvioulsy about Mayte cheating "You gave your body to another for the sake of fun!"

I totally take your point. But, I really do think that it can be assumed. I mean Prince really didn't really write fantasy songs like 'Raspberry Beret' or 'Sister' during his symbol days.
Prince and Mayte were together throughout all of the early '90s. The whole symbol album is about her. As is Come.(I assume that is her on 'Orgasm'). As is 'TMBGINTW'.
Who else could 'Eye hate you' be about?? Prince wouldn't have cheated on Mayte at this stage.

I personally think that she couldn't get with the move that God had for Prince's life. She is still caught up in the ways of the "world" and now he has a nice JW wife.

It's difficult to move in the direction that God has for your life with a wife that is trying to keep you back in your old state of mind.

Maybe it just wasn't growing in the direction that Prince was growing in?

Prince didn't go JW koo-koo until he met ol' Capt. Larry, which was on the JOTY year.

I think he used that tour as a way of avoiding the issue of their new marriage and their deceased son.

He meets Larry who's got it 'all', he's a musical hero, has a fanatically devoted wife, and a screwball fan-boy attitude to religion - Prince soaks in the JW crud Larry gives him, and he gets comfort from that father/son, teacher/student relationship and solice from this new religion.

All the time Mayte is left alone - A young girl who has spent all her short adult life with a reclusive and unconventional millionaire musician in a remote part of a foreign country.

That isn't the recipe for a good marriage.

I think the divorce did them both good, Prince was a dirty old perv after young girls, and Mayte was a foolish short-sighted girl with her head in the clouds.

Personally I think a lot of Prince's actions towards his music since 1997 have been about guilt.

Censoring his own past musical output seems like a hap-hazzard way of trying to repent his past 'sins'. Those aren't the actions of a person who has come to terms and is comfortable with their past.

Prince is as messed up as the rest of us.

I think your time line is a little off (or it could be mine) but i distinctly remember being at a concert in Balitmore,MD about 4 years ago and Prince had on a t-shirt with Mayte on the front. I thought they were still married... Well anyway he said during the concert that we all need to get back to reading the bible but the New World Translation (JW version). This was a while ago but it wasn't that long ago.

I also have to disagree with calling what I said Prince bonics. When people get closer to God their mates either need to go with them or get left behind. That's just life.
