Same thing as my other thread. What songs do most people love, but generally annoy you as a listener.

I never liked the song Diamonds and Pearls, or most of the D&P album for that matter. I have never managed to make it to the end of that song (and I've been a Prince fan for nearly 10 year at this point)! Although I like the little ethereal synth part at the start.

Also, although I don't HATE the song, never really saw what fuss about the song Adore.

Thoughts?

The Breakdown! The lyrics make me cringe

The Continental (the main song part, not the How U Wanna B Done part... that's the part that actually sounds good). I think the Continental is worse than a Roxette song!

I know Strays Of The World gets equal parts dislike from people, but I can't get how a lot of people hold it in such high praise. Everytime I hear that song I'm like no, no, no, nooo

Possibly Uptown. To me it just drags for too long and kind of ruins the flow of The Hits 1...

That's because you should be listening to Dirty Mind album and not the Hits compilation.

Mine are Sometimes it Snows in April and most of the Parade album.

Completely agree. I think the music on The breakdown is decent enough, but I totally agree the lyrics are contrived.
