Prince has always been a religious fanatic, he didn't need Larry. I don't have any JW connections, I think most of 'em r way to radical but that's a free world, I respect their freedom to be stubborn and to believe I'll go 2 hell because anyway I know I won't. I have a lot of respect for Larry, actually someone who was in P's camp told me once that he probably had a lot of positive influence on P, who used to be totally emotionally isolated from everyone around him and treat people like shit, and Larry possibly talked him into treating people with more respect and connecting to them a bit more. I think Larry Graham's the kind of man to do that. I don't mind the religious aspects of P's lyrics, never did before he became a JW neither afterwards: I think it's basically the exact same thing that's been expressed with different words from 1978 to now. And I don't mind P not cursing anymore or not singing Head anymore. I curse a lot but I don't need the F word to be all over a song to enjoy it, and I think P would look like an ass singing Darling Nikki or Head while being 56 years old.

Instead, P looks like an 'ass' singing Fix Your LIfe Up, and being a fool with the biggest pool at 56...

And last and not least, he is entertaining us with super creative multi layered vocals, funky drumming and intense vocals. It was released the year before I was born, and yet I think it sounds like future music compared to Breakfast. Not hating, just stating my opinion.

ATWIAD, not one of my favourites, but it is by far better than anything released in the past decade. Plastic production. Substandard lyrics. Unimaginative compositions. Basically, there has been a lack of inspiration for a long time IMO. Where are the uptempo songs these days?

I was listening to Strays of the World this morning and whilst it isnt one of my favourite tracks, at the end where he go nuts on the guitar and the tempo races along, I thought to myself, the man just doesnt do that anymore. Even his funky songs barely go above 80 or 90 bpm. Even LGC reloaded has turned a high tempo guitar number into a mid tempo guitar snooze fest.

There are LOADS of wonderful albums released every year. The main difference between 1985 and 2014 isn't the overall quality of music, it's the fact that music of quality has been completely banned from mass medias for the last 10/15 years. But if u burn ur radio, smash your TV and spend some time looking for interesting music online, I can guarantee u'll find lots of gems
