Mentioning 'club bangers', I do hope Fallinluv2nite will not be on the new album... And... what?! Larry's back in the game ? That really is some bad news. That means Prince's still heavy into the JW shit. And that's really bad news for the Purple Rain remastering, given the lyrical content of that absolute classic. Damn, I'm scared now...

There goes my whofarted again!

so in short, this is the album he had ready to go all the way back to the end of 2012.

/

2Y2D must be on that album too, that's quite a safe bet.

/

might mean the 3EG stull will still get a release since all of that was recorded *after*

and he has been banging on about it for over a year now.

So both Larry and Andy on the new album, sounds like it was recorded about this time last year, if not earlier. But still curious to hear it, especially the club bangers

well the 3EG webite is still there, for the moment, so if all else fails with the

release of PE, perhaps they can keep trickling the songs onto the website?

Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

I was more looking forward to 3EG too.

Very disapointed that Breakfast will be on there, easily the worst of the releases he's put out in the last couple of years. Certainly no album containing that track can be compared to Purple Rain. Hopefully that's the only duffer though and I can do a swift replacement with something better smile.

Glad we'll get a CD version of The Breakdown, great song. I'm gonna stick my neck on the line here and say that slow ballad will be track 3.

One question though, is this woman on the spreecast the same Nikki who was on the recent Peach & Black podcast about the London shows?

Frankly, I'm looking forward to a more traditional Prince album than 3EG.

of all the miscellaneous tracks he's released in the last year, I prefer almost all of the Prince tracks to the two 3rdEyeGirl singles.

Why would anyone come to a premature conclusion about the album with so little information?

You are just setting yourself up not to like it, no matter how good it is.

Whats with the chipmonk voice at the end of Breakfast? I mean, I know the man has sped his voice up over the years and made it somewhat of a trade mark, but on BCW it really does sound like a smurf or chipmonk. Blatently rubbish. And he is going to release it on his 1st WB album in 20 years? Do the masses really want to hear that? Please release 3EG... Please!

Although some obviously hate it, I like "Breakfast Can Wait" a great deal. It was a pleasant surprise to learn that it's getting an official release on the new album. I figured it was a lost gem at this point -- although not too lost, I guess. "Rolling Stone" did include it in their list of the top 100 songs of 2013 (placing at #44).

I love Breakfast Can Wait and I like Breakdown. I'm glad to hear it's possible the new release may be more funk old school Prince.
Whether 3rdeyegirl comes out or not, it surely wouldn't be successful. 3EG would truly alienate a lot of listeners as well as radio stations.

Firstly I like Breakfast Can Wait. But how can an album with that song on it be anything like Purple Rain?

I could maybe hear some similatities to Sign O The Times. Also If Groovy Potential is an out take and Breakfast makes the cut something ain't right.

Now an album with the Breakdown and Groovy on it gets me excited.

Of all the songs released randomly over the last 2 years the only ones worthy for the new Prince album are:

The Breakdown

That Girl Thang

Breakfast Can Wait

I thought exactly the same, I love groovy potential. This is why I'd rather he released multi disc sets such as emancipation because prince's idea of an outtake doesn't necessarily match mine.

At least groovy got a release and I could potential use that as a swap for breakfast when the new album gets released.

Agreed. I take very little stock in any of this. And how long ago did this "Breakfast Can Wait" dancer hear this album. If it was during the actual video shoot, chances are what she heard as a "new" album was probably overhauled.

'Club bangers'? confused

Funk, rock, soulful ballads and a quirky, lyrical song or two. That's Prince to me.

Yeah I don't get why some fans just hate that song. Then again you have Orgers who think Prince hasn't done anything right since the 1980s or the 90s or whatever magical number thay have in their heads when Prince Milk went bad. BCW is a good track. Not a homerun, but a catchy trademark Prince sultry jam. Plus the whole Camille thing at the eni
