Outside the HOUSE
This scene was in LA and that's not Olga, we never see her face either
Yeah, even if that had been filmed in Minn, those houses in the background are in a different price range than theirs. So when the Kid says he saw his Mom up the street, he meant way way that way up the street. What?

Is there also a deleted scene where Prince fights Jellybean or did I dream that?
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
Yes there was a fight, you can see a little of it in the trailer. I read somewhere that Jellybean said in an interview that during the fight, Prince accidentally hit him for real, and that he was really apologetic. [Edited 3/18/14 15:34pm] Everybody stop on the 1...GOOD GOD! Uhh!

I'm not sure how accurate the final quote was by Jellybean because at the time of the October 83 show, very little of the ICE CREAM CASTLE album was recorded, and the video for Ice Cream Castles was shot the following spring. From everything that I've heard, Morris didn't officially leave the Prince camp until May/June of 1984. The expanded version of my book PRINCE and The Purple Rain Era Studio Sessions 1983-1984 was released in November 2018. I know I'm not the only one that wishes this hadn't been cut! . I wonder if that's the hit? Doesn't really look like an accident lol He even paused for a second right before.. . And I love that "Oh I think you are" grin on P's face when he's pulling her away. .

Wow! This thread is great It would be so cool if we could get a DVD of the movie with all the deleted scenes.
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
seems that way Such a shame, huh?
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
Yes! I don't get this man. I understand his whole "not living in the past" deal, but the majority of his fans haven't adopted this mindset and WANT the classic stuff. I wish he'd release more live shows, too.. his concerts are amazing and finding them online is damn near impossible now. Everybody stop on the 1...GOOD GOD! Uhh!

If you get 20th Aniversary Edition of the DVD. The director explains that the deleated scens were destroyed. He also talks about shooting in L.A. due to weather.

Now help me out, Laura. I've listened to that commentary many times and must have missed where he said the deleted scenes were destroyed.
