First time I heard this song and loved it. I thought the band was great, and those horns were hot! Made me excited to hear the rest of the album.

That new song does nothing for me. I just re-watched the whole Arsenio performance from 1991 to remember myself why I love prince so much. I also enjoy most of the live clips that are available at the official 3rdeyegirl youtube-channel, but that funkroll-performance is just meh. I'm underwhelmed.

The interview was nice and Prince looks good. But what the actual FUCK was that "Prince will you break up with my girfriend" tomfoolery!? So embarrassing on every level.

I'm enjoying the show....its nice to see the playful side of him.. dude tried to sit in his lap! lol

Liv did great again. Hope this expands her audience, she really deserves it.

Prince is looking great. He does so well with a host that he trusts because he's able to relax.

Like I said on the other thread, the horns saved the funk and roll performance. 3rd eye is just okay for me.

Good musical performances and Prince having fun chatting is a good combination.

Other than that, i thought all performances were good, peaking at Mutiny, that was very fun to watch. Heard some Auto-tune on SAIMH....why?! Also harming this performance is Josh's Keys....almost destroyed the song....Thankfully Prince's guitar work saved the day. You know, the amount of times i have seen these new performances live and each time they are absolutely legendery, but on a TV show, they suffer a large degrade...Still great, but they lose the other-worldly factor of actually seeing him live or watching footage of a live show.

Liv put on another great performance.

FunknRoll is a good song and that was one hell of an entrence. His energy at his age is just mindblowing. His entire appearance shown a man still at the height of his powers and most importantly....health.

The interview was ok, but i expected way more from Arsenio.

I agree with this! It was very unprofessional. I've been to the Arsenio Show several times and the priority way of doing it works way better. But this was a SPECIAL show! That EVERYBODY wanted to attend. It was only 200 seats. The 100 VIP guest list is what messed everything up. Also the "Purple Army" people. I never recognised any of them from any Prince shows.

Liv was great. I could not find anything close to a tonal center for the Ice Cream Castle/Mutiny/2oo balloons mashup. The same was basically true for She's Always In My Hair, but I t doubt anyone really cares anymore as long as the performance was energetic, right?
