My friend and I arrived at 4:15pm (instructed to arrive by 5pm in the second e-mail I rec'd confirming that I had tickets and the time had changed) just to find out that everyone who arrived after 3:40pm (some people started lining up at 9pm last night) would not fit since Prince added 85 last minute guest list folks and Arsenio added people to a guest list as well. The #princearmy last minute giveaway supposedly went to only 10 people. And there was a standby line of 60 people with tickets already waiting to see "if" they would fit. One of the line monitors was very cool, I talked to him for a while, and he stated he would NEVER do a Prince event again - he said noone has ever drawn a crowd like this... I hope everyone who got in had a blast! And I hope next time Prince considers how his last minute decisions impact his fams...

Im not surprised. Dude knows everybody and everybody knows him or has worked for him at some point. I swear during that concert when he said he was going to retire Purple Rain, everyone in the stadium on the first two levels seemed to be in his employ or part of the industry. Just reading the body language of the crowd you could tell there was something about it that said that "hell yeah Im at another Prince concert!!" wasnt there. The vibe was kinda weird.

I genuinly don't think he has the balls to go on a TV show and do a full set with 3rdeyegirl, he likes to play it safe. Now mark my words when he comes back to the UK, he's bringing the NPG. Which is cool if you like seeing Shelbey n co sing half a concert

How sad that even when he goes on TV now he feels the need to have his background singers do half of the songs on their own. It used to be that when there was a "Prince takeover" on Arsenio, he sang all the songs.
