I know but i'm trying to avoid "spoilers" if that makes sense. By incrementally going track by track, i'm just worried i'll spoil the album. Assuming that he is releasing the album song-by-song. I'll hold off for now. Who knows, it could get shelved.

If "Pretzelbodylogic" is on it, it's a bit hard to see a song like "The Breakdown" being included on it. If it is, it might result in a Chaos & Disorder type of a vibe (a bit too all over the place stylistically).

it is too good and makes all the other prince songs sound as bad as they really are .. it will remind fans of what prince is capable and he sure does not want to live up to those funkspectations

There is always at least one ballad on every Prince album so Im sure it will be on PlectrumElectrum. I think it was Hannah who said last year that they added the final parts on The Breakdown so I belive it will be released. I think Plecrum could be similar 2 Chaos and Disorder, at least I hope so

Why do you prefer his most conventional songs? The Breakdown is a pretty straight forward ballad.

I prefer his songs that speak a universal truth .. I really love the Breakdown version at Smuckfest .. his vocal performance has all the emotion that is missing from most of his work these days .. lyrically it works, it doesnt cram in too many sylables or dumb lyrics about stupid stuff .. it is a strong song if he doesn't mess it up too much .. I don't equate weird with good .. Love or $ is weird AND good .. so is Tamborine .. but "nothing compares to you" is a stone cold classic .. I am not averse to prince pop abilities .. I find his prog like meanderings incredibly dull tho .. notes for notes sake and not serving the song .. when prince relearns to serve the song all his songs will be good again .. the Breakdown is his first step in the right direction is quite some time .. we will see how he muddles it up in the studio ..

If the song is worked into something a bit rockier then I can see it getting included (or something closer to the style of "I Will" from C&D). But if it's the version with the strings and the keyboards dominating the mix then it could sound a bit odd on it.

You can well imagine him making it a bit rockier and adding guitar bits in the style of I Hate U or Shhh which start off seemingly straight forward ballads

That has entered my mind. It could be even a Lotusflow3r type of a release.

so now its april. In the early days he spoke about multiple album releases a month....guess he becomes old..
