Listening to the latest boot and "FUNKNROLL" sounds like a Prince funk n rock crossbreed we've heard many times over but done better in the past. The vibe and energy of Prince and 3RD EYE GIRL on this tune is youthful and energetic. The perfect tune for an outdoor festival. The lyrics go:

O....M......G this is really really good. Prince gona please a lot of fans with this one. I can definitely hear the Onyx influence with the bassline and chorus .. tightness!

I kind of get Exodus vibes from it - but at the same time, I'm imagining a weaksauce studio version in comparison.

Come on, now. You really think Mr. J Hove is gonna bust out a "motherfucker" on a song in this day and age? He even changed Endorphinmachine to "frontin' more cash than Peru got keys," instead of saying "booty." I'm hearing either, "mother father," or "mother further."

Not impressed. Hearing Prince playing live makes me want to "listen to Prince while he's playing live," not just "listen to Prince."

I could imagine myself taking in the energy from a live setting, but I don't care to put that on repeat. It could be the music. It could be me. But, regardless, something in the water... He just bores me now.
