Use to be a time where every song or new release made me excited and lawd let's not forget about the pics but now all this 3rdeye shit and random messing with fans is making me think something is wrong with him I mean even a few yrs ago with 20ten was exciting-so what happened to make it this way? Also, all these years of having to search for Prince shit cuz he chooses not to release stuff for his U.S. fans has grown tiresome too. I mean damn I had to pay a good penny just to get 20ten. Fandom should be exciting and joyful not like "oh damn what has Prince done now." Why continue to waste money on litigation against sites, fans, etc. It makes no sense. Why not try to keep the people who have supported u instead of continuously doing things to drive supporters away? I mean let's have a serious, fair discussion if that's possible on the Org

I was thinking about this too, and I agree 1,100%!!!

The way he does shit though sometimes makes me think he's got something BIG up his sleeve. I'm sure most of us have hgeard about the "six year plan" he had culminating with "Purple Rain". Well I'd LIKE to think he's got another plan hatching. But then he just goes left field with shit, and makes it so hard to 1. get his shit 2. defend him and 3. not get the fond memories I have from my childhood tainted with this new person's dictorial bullshit.

I have made zero effort to hear his new music, mostly because with every release he's making the WB days look like a fluke, but mostly because of all the BS he expouts.

I try very hard to separate the artist from the asshole, but dude is blurring those lines with every turn. Sad really.

I agree...I kinda always think maybe something big is coming or maybe something will be released or happen to make me feel enjoyment again, but it never does and yes that makes me sad.

We're all grown here hopefully and most of us grew up with Prince. Not saying he shouldn't change cuz most adults do. But what happened to make being his fan so miserable? I think Im upset because I dont wanna feel like that, but he keeps doing things to make his fans leave and feel that way

If you are miserable and upset then its time you take some quality time out of Prince world and the Org. I'm not insulting you nursy , its just not that serious in the real world. If he came to my town and I had the money AND I could get a table (cant do general admission anymore), I'd go because its live music which I enjoy and life is too short.

Not insulted...That's why I dont post that much anymore cuz when I do the thread turns out like this. People dont like to hear the truth. im just really sad by the way Prince treats his fans. I always hoped he would grow older and not continue to do "interesting" things to his fans. I use to be so excited to tell younger folks about Prince's music and now I just dont anymore.

I feel you! There is so much truth to the text (1958-1993) on this album cover and it reminds me to let go of a time that once was. 1978-1993, that period is true fandom and pandemonium for me, beyond that.....
