SHE'S ALWAYS IN MY HAIR How come this absolutely awesome song was a B-side? I remember when ATWIAD came out, I loved everything about it, still do, this shoudl have been on that album though - the full extended version. It is brilliant, and having now heard the version from the LOL Tour, it really is such a timeless tune... I love it.

Dont forget Erotic City.
I listened to Feel U Up on my drive home tonight. Another great B-Side. I abdicated the throne in Ithaca, but now I am...

Prince was the best at putting out amazing B-sides in the 80s The greatest live performer of our times was is and always will be Prince.
Remember there is only one destination and that place is U All of it. Everything. Is U.

Yes, this one, Erotic City, Irresistible Bi^#h!
The B sides were HAWT. Could've been put on the albums, easily. I loved those old funky, purple sounding B sides There are times when I'd choose the B Side over anything on the album.
I've been playing them to death lately. They still sound great, and fresh all these years later. If they were released today, they'd get play. . .
She'd still be there Telling me just how much she really cares

I remember back in the day when vinyls were issued and discovering the B-sides....Woaw, my favorites are:
*17 days *Another Lonely Xmas (I love the live version of St Paul: thanks to the one who recorded it... ) *Hello, Girl, She's Always In My Hair *God (Instrumental): a pure masterpiece *Erotic City *Love Or Money, Alexa De paris *Irresistible Bitch
Happy to hear it through my full Ipod....I was really happy when The B Sides compilation was issued...Too bad that Another Lonely Xmas was the edit version...but great to get oldies (Horny Toad, Gotta Stop Messin' About) with a good sound! "Money won't buy U happiness but it'll pay 4 the search."

If I ever play a Prince CD in the car it's usually The B-Sides. I like every track on there. She's Always In My Hair tops them all though, for me.

My all-time favorite Prince song (of all songs, not just b-sides).
I remember taking a bus to Northern Lights Records, back in the day, and buying the Raspberry Beret 12”. When I got home, I listened to “She’s Always In My Hair” for the very first time, and I was blown away!!!! The love was immediate and the infatuation has never worn off. I had the same reaction to Another Lonely Christmas with the big picture disc. 12 inch B-sides like that trump all others in sound and treasure. Those were the days.

Like the demo's and outtakes it helped shaping the image of an adventorous artist. B-sides also shaped and glimpsed to future ideas.

You could also turn it around:
Sounds great also | |

The latter isn't really a b-side, but I wouldn't put 200 balloons on this collection.

are beyond amazing I love lots of his B-Sides. She's Always In My Hair is my very fave, but Escape is definitely up there. I like your list. Personally, I love the remixes of TMBGITW and Letitgo. And I always say if I played for the MN Twins, my walk up/at bat music would be "Rock & Roll Is Alive (And It Lives In Mpls)." "She made me glad to be a man"

12" vinyl - those we're the days. The clear plastic sleeves for the Lovesexy singles. The SOTT singles with Cat in the peach dress. Man, I miss it. [Edited 5/22/13 19:53pm] "She made me glad to be a man"
