I love lots of his B-Sides. She's Always In My Hair is my very fave, but Escape is definitely up there.

I like your list.

Personally, I love the remixes of TMBGITW and Letitgo. And I always say if I played for the MN Twins, my walk up/at bat music would be "Rock & Roll Is Alive (And It Lives In Mpls)."

None of them can compare to the true B-sides. 'Besides', with the execption of Horny pony and Call the Law, none of these can be considered b-sides, because the rest are all remixes or re-works of Gett off and New Power Generation. And Escape is from 88.

One of my all time faves. LOve evrythign about this song. Works best when played LOUD!! cool

Yes the "louder" the better. His ability to combine so many elements at once in a song still amazes me. His vocal approach is soulful yet he is rocking out on the guitar and showing it no mercy. LOVE IT !

There always seems to be a big to-do concerning whether "She's Always In My Hair" or "17 Days" is Prince's best B-side.

I like 'em both.

I agree that the 80's saw him produce amazing B-sides.

But "She's Always In My Hair" is the more powerful tune out of them all, IMO.

The live versions I have heard from this tour are of the hook. Big, fat, nasty, greasy and loud. And that bass...lawd.

I dig your list a lot. Thank you for mentioning Loveleft, loveright. Thought I was the only one who really digs that song. Him at his best I think.

I cant re-emphasise enough how incredible those songs are - particularly loveleft, loveright (and lubricated lady).

Yes, this one, Erotic City, Irresistible Bi^#h!

The B sides were HAWT. Could've been put on the albums, easily. I loved those old funky, purple sounding B sides lol cool headbang woot! There are times when I'd choose the B Side over anything on the album.

I've been playing them to death lately. They still sound great, and fresh all these years later. If they were released today, they'd get play.

She'd still be there

Telling me just how much she really cares

heart love2

Albume could have been called "B Side" lol

How come this absolutely awesome song was a B-side? I remember when ATWIAD came out, I loved everything about it, still do, this shoudl have been on that album though - the full extended version. It is brilliant, and having now heard the version from the LOL Tour, it really is such a timeless tune... I love it.

Why!?

Cause back then, he could.

Now. He struggles to come up with a decent ALBUM track, let alone a B-side!

rap

To those who heard the new arrangement in Vancouver, does the guitar solo go on longer or, end as it does on SoundCloud?
