I gotta agree here. The entire thing was painful, but Nicky and Lil Wayne..I was like, damn, I'm old, but not that old. If my kid had been up at that time I would have turned it. And WTF is up with her ass? That shit is so obviously enhanced, throwing it around like it's something to behold. More like tossing around a bowl of bricks. And J-Lo's "performance"? A formulaic song that ended up simply being a plg for her Kohl's gig. And I REALLY could have done with out seeing all up in her uterus.

Music is in a seriously sad state right now.

Music has been in a serious sad state for over a decade now. I cant remember the last time I saw a really good award show.

There are real good artists out there but the industry does not want to endorse them. Have artists like D Angelo, Bruno Mars (which they do) Janelle, and others perform INSTEAD of the same boring ass people.

Its more about popularity than "talent" and artistry.

I enjoyed the performance. Erykah & Janelle gave a great intro. I hope this does turn out to be a great year for him, not just with new music coming out but also attention to his legacy. His whole brand imaging and marketing should be out there. Anyways, the performance cheered me up from the blues I've been having lately. Peace

Just got round to seeing this in HD, very nice. Nice intro and words from Erykah & Janelle, good VT too, great performance from Prince and the girls as well.

Really enjoyed, just a pity it didnt go on longer

Loved the Lets Go Crazy reworked version and FixUrLifeUp

Nice to see Prince has gone back to basics with no gimmicks, dancers etc, just him and the band jamming and going about their business

Would be nice to see this new distributon deal result in some proper releases and see him back in the limelight again as many of the youngsters today can learn a lot from that performance.

it's funny cause my mom walked into my room when he came on and said she loves his new look. she knows prince's hair was always done and permed. she said it makes him look more manly she said. i laughed and said it only took 30+ yearslol

I thought it was a great performance and one of his best looks in a long time.

I predicted he would do Let's Go Crazy - this new version - and it was great.

The new song was weird as shit though - wtf was that?

I enjoyed Bruno's performance and Prince's FOR SURE! New version of Let's Go Crazy is awesome! The heaviness made up for all the quick-tempo energy it lost. FIXURLIFEUP was great too! I actually enjoyed that one as well! I liked the video that played in the backround as well Good job Prince!

The new all female band is different. These women look a little longer in the tooth that his usual ensemble, and he's done away with the dancers and fluff, which is refreshing.
