Down = Very morose. Never gonna hear it again. The cutoff next verse reminds me of something I just posted on FB. Ain't Gon' Miss U = Kinda pissy. Not too bummed at what happens to it. 2 Young 2 Dare = I will purchase all of these if we're ready for them. Kinda reminds me of me and my favorite patron. What's up with your taste, guys!? "Down" is absolutely awful. Boring chords and boring chorus.
"Ain't gon' miss u" (lots of "Return of the bump squad" in there) is clearly the most decent track.

Asking on this forum is the wrong way.
Google + key words = the answer you are looking for... is the right way.
This is 2013, right?

I wouldn't say "Down" is awful, but I agree "Ain't gonna miss u" is the best track. The wooh is on the one!

^ I wholeheartedly disagree about Ain't... being better than Down. I'm down with P and he didn't want someone tampering with his unfinished product. Grateful to both sides of the venue though. For all time I am with you, you are with me.

These super private shows, we're designed not 2 b attended by the die hards or even the casual fans. Which is the reason a very small venue was booked 2 b sold out in seconds. 2 prevent scalpers & nosy bootlegged prepared sneaky fans from recording & snapping pix of him. They we're only put 2gether @ the last second 2 audition & rehearse the newly reformed npg & drummers.
carefully spoke during the unveiling of his "MasterPieces" through DJ Rashida to prevent sneaky fans from recording them in its entirety..He almost pulled off. Ya know, this wasn't enough...
I don't get the whole I'm not going to take the time to read through the thread, get all the keywords I need to find the tracks on my own, I'm just going to break the rules and openly ask in the thread or harass others with orgnotes demanding a link attitude that's seems to be persistant around here.
Sure it's a newbie mistake. That's why it's a good idea to lurk for awhile before posting on a forum and take the time to learn the rules of the site before joining in.
If you take the time to read the rules you know asking isn't allowed. If you take the time to read the thread you know that discussions about "where to get" have already caused problems and one of the places to get such tracks is now gone because of the rules being broken. That's one less place to get the tracks being discussed and one less place to get the next leak or bootleg, all because of discussing where to get them in this. very. thread.
end of rant (for now)...

I get that he might feel that way. I don't disagree with you. As I stated, I think it is short-sighted of him. I already explained why I feel the way I do.

No. I know how to use a search engine, thank you.

Speaking of, just listening to Dakota Two (which I found with the googles)... Lotta nice instrumentals.

Let's see. I'm gonna help you out. It's not on YouTube or dailymotion. I suggest, as someone already said, Google. I'm not gonna guarantee you find it, though, because the person who originally put the samples up has closed up that shop, and does not currently have the tracks up at all.
Before someone posted a link, they were fairly easy to find. Now they're not. Thus the annoyance expressed by several people toward the person who posted the link, and toward those who, while not exactly asking for one, seem to be edging closer and closer to one of the relatively few things WE JUST CAN"T DO HERE!!!!
I hope you find them, but arguing here isn't going to help. I'm sure the entire set with them will show up somewhere too, eventually, though I haven't seen it yet.

Google schmoogle.
If only someone would open up the door you could get it yourself. It'd be funky wouldn't it.

Okay, Kcool--these were not rehearsals or auditions, no matter what the press reports and other public statements said. In fact, the simple fact that there were press reports and public statements telling people when they were and how much tickets cost (notice, they sold admission to people, and at a fairly large price, especially for anything that really was a "rehearsal" or an "audition"--those were concert prices, and, whether you care to admit it right now or not, those were concerts. The small venue served to do exactly what it did, draw attention to the shows and make people want to know what happened there. That Prince has thus far dropped the ball in letting people know (and clearly at some point he at least thought about doing so, making sure we knew full tapes were in existence) and has let the inevitable happen (and unless he is dumb as a rock he knew that people were taping) is beside the point. But he wanted us (meaning fans who weren't in the audience) to know about those shows, he wanted us to hear that there were new tracks, in order to keep our attention and build up the numbers of people watching the websites.
Maybe he didn't like what he heard on those nights enough to release more than what he already has. But he isn't losing anything here. He's not being ripped off in anyway, and "betrayal" requires there to be a trusting relationship between the parties involved. Hardly what we're looking at in the Dakota that night, especially if those shows were played for what according to you were people who weren't diehards or casual fans, just people who accidentally showed up there and spent way too much to get in on just an ordinary night at the Dakota. Those shows were not an example of generosity. If he wasn't gaining from them (in promotional value, if not financial, and I don't know where all that money went) and if all he wanted was a place to rehearse or audition, I'm sure there are private rooms he could have rented for a week. Those shows were part of his becoming public again, and promoting current websites and upcoming shows. The songs that were played at were also promotions. Every title that goes public creates interest and hope among fans, although often when the tracks are finally heard people are disappointed. Here, because these three samples have gotten outside of the Dakota, Prince can know that lots of us are waiting to buy them. And we'd buy the whole shows--which is not the case with the Dakota versions, which are being bought by a few and downloaded by the many. [Edited 3/3/13 15:35pm]

I agree it was a promotional unveiling & well thought out. But only 2 b told through the press & hand feed to his diehard fans. But not 2 b attended or heard by them in sight or ear....Only when he choses to... will ALWAYS think of like a "ACT OF GOD"! And there's the problem. It wasn't well thought out, because a promotional unveiling that isn't followed up winds up hurting you. That's what was wrong with the whole Lotusflow3r.com fiasco--he says (or encourages/allows those who speak to the press instead of him, because he just doesn't do that) that stuff is going to happen (or very well might...wink, wink, nudge, nudge) that's absolutely great... and then it doesn't. In a good promotion, you don't advertise a product (that you either have ready, as in those played tracks, or could have ready soon, as in those concert recordings) and then dilly-dally around and let someone else start stealing your thunder, especially if you ALREADY KNOW THEY"RE DOING IT (and again, unless Prince is dumb as a rock, he has to know).
You don't promote something that you can't/won't/don't deliver. If you do, all you're promoting is the idea of yourself as incompetent or dishonest.
Look, I'm actually feeling pretty good about most of the recent music, and I've liked most songs on every single album. But to start claiming that Prince handles any of this promotion and follow-through in a way that makes sense at all is too much.

That's what I thought but I wasn't sure because they were all recorded and the bootlegs will be available soon enough. Kcool made it sound like there were other shows where prince made everyone go naked in the audience and he personally gave them each a body cavity search before performing. Whatever kcool is drinking he needs to find a new blend! Funny aside, my phone auto corrects kcool to I lol. Kind of apt for when I read his posts. RIP
