My Name is Prince different versions?

Years ago I bought a cassette with 4-5 different versions of My Name is Prince and different version of Sexy MF on it? Does anyone know if these different versions ever released on CD?

It's probably the Maxi-Single which was released on CD.

  1. "My Name Is Prince" (Original Mix Edit) – 8:06
  2. "My Name Is Prince" (12" Club Mix) – 8:11
  3. "My Name Is Prince" (House Mix) – 7:18
  4. "My Name Is Prince" (Hard Core 12" Mix) – 7:55
  5. "Sexy M.F." (12" Remix) – 7:34

They're better than the Jamie Lewis remixes of Rock N Roll Love Affair - I'll give them that.

I bought the cd a few months ago from a uk site. Tried finding it just now on google but no luck.

I bought the cd for the sexy mf remix. My only complaint is the mix seems a bit flat. I much prefer the edit version.

I've got the CD and also had it on vinyl.

Been a while since I listened to it but I recall one remix by Kirky J and some of the others were quite typical 90's techno, bit like 2-Unlimited on a good day!

I like the cheesy "techno" remixes.

Remember the playboy video version? They would actually play that on late night TV.

I have that in my video collection. It's just some random naked chicks someone put together with the song, but I like it and the nastiness!

I would have to go out on a limb here and say that this is my favorite maxi single with remixes from the 90's. I love every track on here and gets constant play. I noticed that I didn't really enjoy these until I had a proper sound system. A lot of what makes these quite good imo is the low end of these songs. That gets lost in the translation when you don't have a sub that pushes out the sounds properly.

Always wondered if the single had the 'orginal mix (Edit)' on it, where's the full version of it?

The maxi does. But it starts in right with the piano. No build up with Arsenio Hall like the album version.
