I havent enjoyed any of the recent songs at all. RNRLA, Screwdriver, Same Page etc.,

I liked the Bambi rehersal tho.

Very nervous about the new album.

So far we have very poppy, mainstream tracks. Yeah, sure, there may be some better production values and im digging what's going on right now with prince, but RnR was just bland, SD is an average and at times cringe worthy pop song.

With all this listening to the fans he's apparently doing, the music sure isn't reflecting that.

I can only think that he may have multiple albums or a double album coming. Worst case scenario is that these two new tracks are on the new, single album.

For the first time, i may be more excited about vault tracks rather than a new album.

However, i still have hope.

lookin forward to the album.
it'd be a fine thing if it was a double with some more (musically) daring tracks.
Prince can still surprise, i can imagine him bringing something flawless out.
Impossible to make everyone happy, I hope he doesn't try.

I'm pretty sure it's Prince... in fact, I think I'm hearing him on all instruments.

Let's remember that historically, Prince has used the performance video format with a band on many songs where he was the sole performer on most, if not all instruments.

Those drums do sound a lot like Prince's drumming.

Yes, they also say that the album was released via the Daily Mail as well as the Daily Mirror which is incorrect. It was released solely by the Daily Mirror in the UK.

The Daily Mail was used 3 years earlier to distribute Planet Earth!

Faux garage band rock done with a pop sensibility and enough whimsy to sound fresh and immediate. Other than a few bars that sound almost too familiar, this is a perfect example of his versatility and infectious love of music making.

I hope Prince sees that when he's not obsessing too much about what's ok or not ok to say in his lyrics, people love it.

Say what you want. Don't repress what you want to say. It's creative. And I like it.
