it's not very sophisticated, but this is my favourite track since lavaux.. it's fun, i'm screwmatized, i wanna hear this in concert. i really like the video & the saucy lyrics!.. a VERY slowed down version might also sound nice. is he wearing a lion hat? RAAWWWRR | |

It's a tad bit bland harmonically and lyrically, but I love it when he goes bonkers. The delivery has guts and the melody is catchy. Good song. |

it's like christmas and a birthday rolled up into one
the song is a grower. it's not a song that you totally figure out in one or two spins. and that's a good thing.

Prince is up to something sneaky. You may’ve noticed, the purple one has been dropping bits of news and new music over the last few months. Last we saw him, he released a video for the groovy, almost country-sounding “Rock and Roll Love Affair.” Meanwhile back at the purple ranch, he spent the last two days playing last-minute, intimate shows at the Dakota Jazz Club in Minneapolis. Wednesday night’s show was considered a “Soundcheck” and featured auditions for a new drummer. Last night was billed as a “Jam/Show,” and tonight is going to be a “Surprise.” Hopefully this all means we’ll see a new album as well as more tour dates coming around the bend. For now, though, Prince has mysteriously leaked a preview of an unreleased song called, “Screwdriver”–which sounds something like Jimi Hendrix meets Nirvana with it’s extended guitar runs and crunchy sonics. Although he has been notoriously against having his own music on YouTube, it seems that he is behind this. Check out the rock-heavy song below and stay tuned for more Prince news: | |

Sounds a bit like the Stones. As far as guitarrock goes, nothing is really original in that genre, but I like it. Maybe a little too much rock and not enough roll. The kind of track that will work better on stage. Still waiting 4 him 2 get fonnkay again! | |
