I love the studio version, but the live version just kills everything!! GOSH! This is the Prince, we all know and love!

Don't get me wrong, I can CHILL to 'Rock & Roll Love Affair, But this 'Screw Driver' is some heavy rock! I love the fact that he says 'Screw' Hahahahahah

Oh my god I was so happy when I found out that this was uploaded! I had just walked into my house while it was snowing outside, half frozen to death and I walked up into my room to grab my wallet so I could buy lunch at school and I decided to check Facebook and saw a link to the site. And then I preceeded to play the song over and over before going back to my school to rave about it to my friends dismay . I love it and I can't wait to buy it (hopefully it'll come out on vinyl with a real B-Side or maybe even a live rendition of it???)

It's growing on me, but it still is not in the league of I Like It There, Fury, the Original Endorphinmachine, etc. I'm probably in the minority, but like RNR Affair a little better.

..nevermind.. .I just don't understand this song and I'm not connecting with the females,yet

they have to bring more to the table. The video I feel like I was peeping in on some teenagers rehearsing in the garage .

It's kind of a fun track. The lyrics are pretty dumb...especially that bullshit about "party toes." But it's catchy, memorable, it has a nice, raw sound to it. I like it better than a song like "Guitar," but it's no "Endorphinmachine." That shit was/is epic.

My take on this?

Prince NAILED it hard. I enjoy all musical sides of Prince. N.E.W.S. is amazing, and I'm musically enriched and qualified.

This is Prince Punk. This is when he gets raw... rocking with a neverending energy that all should experience, but tragically, few do.

So, needless to say... I'm diggin' it Big Time.

I just need to hear the lossless version, along with a collection of songs (or pieces), formerly known as an "album"... preferably in physical format, either CD or vinyl.

I like it well enough, I suppose. Quality wise, as far as production and writing go, I can't find any major issues with it. The problem for me is that this isn't my favorite style of Prince song to begin with. None of the straight ahead, happy vibe rock jams are anywhere near the top of my Prince playlists. If this was part of a solid album I definitely wouldn't skip it, but I don't think I'll go out of my way to listen to it, either.

I don't know who this track is aimed at.

First of all I want to say the musicianship is absolutely great. Top notch. And so is the production. I love it. Having said that, the track does absolutely nothing for me. But that's besides the point. I just wonder who the target audience is for this. The lyrics and the vocal delivery are too silly and contrived for a rock audience, and it's too rock for a pop audience, and it's pretty bland for either, so I don't know who this track is for? The fringe few .orgers who dug The Gold Experience? Maybe? This is right up that alley. As we know, that album didn't sell very well and that sound only appeals to a *special limited audience.. So I dunno. I dunno about this track.

So far I love R&R Love Affair and Chapter & Verse, so with one silly dud it still looks pretty good for this album.
