Yeah he should've had Pitbull drop some flavor on it at that point. The kids aren't going to dig this at all.

I like it. Best part about the song. Wish he sang the whole thing that way.

I was really really into the song until that part. Makes him sound like a creep. I hope he releases a version without the voice or have an actual and older vocalist sing it

That part is the best part. The music is okay, but the lyrics are so below his standard. It was only at that part did the song feel like a quality (smooth and funny) Prince song. It almost reminded me of the end of "Lovesexy," "Oh, pretty little whip, you got me drippin', drippin' all over the floor. If I cum back as a woman, I wanna body like yours."

Don't let it bother you, there'll be a different version without the smurf voice available for purchase pretty soon. wink

It's almost an exact copy of the Penguin voices in Happy Feet....he used this effect in 'Song Of The Heart'

please no. the eye booger fantasy is just fine as is. maybe an extended trumpet solo and bass rattling, anything feasible. another fart stain jam, international loverman or a song about easy bake ovens and pixie sticks featuring ezmerelda spalding and funk legend joe schlabatnik. that's why i'm easy, easy like easy bake... you get the point finger3.

A nice song spolit by the silly smurfette voice which doesnt add anything and isnt required to complete the song. Shame because its a good song up until that point.

I liked the Camille side of Prince, but this isnt the song for that and besides, its not the same tone and just sounds silly.

All imho

He gave us different versions of Screwdriver. So, you never know, maybe he'll make a version for the serious folks. Breakfast can Wait - adult style, sung only with a mature and very serious vioce.

When he's not in a playfull mood he might feel like recording a serious version.

I like this track - the lyrics are actually smart and funny - made me LOL. - kind of reminds me of Van Halen's "Up for Breakfast".

And I don't mind the weird voice. Like Camille only weirder.

It's a typical classic sounding Prince track. Funky but nothing new. But better than most of his recent releases, certainly more interesting than R&R Love Affair. zzzz

The camille stuff was well crafted. Intricate even. The sped up voice at least took effort to create. This just sounds cheap. Sounds lazy and cheap. Just cheap push button effects and recycled songs.

Good point. This in fact may be true when he goes to radio.

Maybe he'll start driving a minivan and dating the waitress at the diner. He'll write songs about mid life crisis, comb overs & excessive body fat. For the serious adult people.

I agree, there are times I wonder about people around here. They remind me of Annie Wilkes from Misery. Nothing Prince does is going to please them because they are fixated on work he did 30 years ago, and they will break his legs if he dares do anything different. I'm glad Prince just does whatever he wants, it may not be what anyone else wants him to do, but he's a free man.
