I agree, there are times I wonder about people around here. They remind me of Annie Wilkes from Misery. Yeah but that was brief and worked, the voice on Breakfast outstays it's welcome, infact it just doesn't fit the song at all.

it works for me since 'the voice' is saying quite nasty/dirty things.

so it works as a tool for prince to create a distance, as if he's not

the one singing that stuff. granted it's a bit of an artificial construct

but somehow it just works. the first two times it just threw me a

little bit but now i can't imagine the song without it. it's quite clever

actually. it elevates the songs from another good but rather m.o.t.r.

song to something more experimantal and searching. i like it

Heard it on the radio today. And every time it's played, there's comment about the voice.

For me it works, and I think even the haters who have listened to the song a few times will miss this voice when it's left out.

After listening to a decade of Kanye West chipmunked samples, I think people should be quite normalized to it.

Oh it's not his voices, it's a sampled voice sped up. It's a quick way for a hip-hop producer to listen to records and search for samples, to play them at 45, but he ended up sampling them at that speed a lot.

The camille stuff was well crafted. Intricate even. The sped up voice at least took effort to create. This just sounds cheap. Sounds lazy and cheap. Just cheap push button effects and recycled songs.

Agree. I like Breakfast Can Wait overall, but the voice in this song kind of ruined it a bit for me.
