I have been listening to him since 1983 and I honestly have no idea what song I have listened to the most. I went thru many phases...sometimes years without hearing any of the popular tracks cuz I was so deep in bootlegs/live recordings/new stuff etc....

3 pages of answers and no one with purple rain - come on boys and girls - 4 sure it is purple rain - its still one of the most played songs on radio (at least here in austria they play it on the main station a minimum of 2 or 3 times a week)

Sorry for being pedantic but 'outtakes'? It's been officially released twice, once in the 80's & once in the 90's.

Oh yes, I forgot, it was released on a soundtrack then in 90's Crystal Ball. But, since it was released very later its recording and was originally intended for Camille, then 80's Crystal Ball, I feel it's an outtake.

If I had to remember one song, since I've became a fan in 2006, it's gotta be When Doves Cry. Must have listened to it almost every day and many times a day for a long time. Now I don't listen to it that much, but I remember getting incessantly thrilled by it, even in repeated listens. Second song I listened to the most to similar effects would be If I Was your Girlfriend. (Not coincidentally, these are my two favorites).

More recently, when I discovered Old Friends 4 Sale, I must have listened to it 100 times in a week. Lol
