Lil Prince was so cute. The real Prince needs a new circle of friends......someone to xplain to him how not to be a dick!!!!!!! He ain't going broke and I'm sure Troy would have worked with him if he would have reached out. I will nvr understand somone who seems to go out of their way to piss off their fans.

While Prince....or his lawyers may ask Troy to stop....it doesnt mean they can enforce this request or have a legal leg to stand on.

I'd might wish for Troy to fit this but that stress is a poor return on the ability to give the Joy that Le Petit Prince has giving us, so I hope he doesn't.

it is a very difficult area this no matter how small the amount of $ that was made. Copywrite is copywrite at the end of the day - if it were Armani issuing legals would we be complaining? It is still sad for the artist as it seemed like a tonne of effort had gone in.

It's creative and celebratory of the source material - almost anyone else would be flattered and linking to it from their official site/social media, and maybe striking up a deal with them. But this is Prince.

I'd understand him not wanting to sell that calendar anymore... but is he really saying Troy can't even post artwork anymore? Uncool.

( NOT HATING) I mean what is Prince's deal? He doesn't want any videos on youtube, won't release masters, doesn't like fansites, doesn't want his music covered, doesn't want good clean fun. I don't get what he is trying to do. It seems he wants to leave a negative legacy. The last time he did anything fun was the muppets.

When my band was tour with Fishbone. There was a rumor he might show up in Minnesota. Of course I was excited but the club owner was like "Let's hope not." Seriously the ENTIRE club had a horror story about Prince. I was stunned I thought he was loved in his hometown.

I'm no high flying hollywood type lawyer but the way I see it, LPP is not using images of P, it is a character based on Prince. Can Prince ask people with similiar facial features to his to cease and desist? I'm not sure how it is in the rest of the world but in Australia, you could just add quote bubbles saying thigs like "Cease & Desist... Cease & Desist... ow-ah!" then it would count as satirical and be covered the same way political cartoons ad the like are.

P really shits me sometimes.
