What is the Prince song you listened to the most EVER?

In your whole time as Prince fans, what is the song you think you've listened to the most?

If I had to remember one song, since I've became a fan in 2006, it's gotta be When Doves Cry. Must have listened to it almost every day and many times a day for a long time. Now I don't listen to it that much, but I remember getting incessantly thrilled by it, even in repeated listens. Second song I listened to the most to similar effects would be If I Was your Girlfriend. (Not coincidentally, these are my two favorites).

More recently, when I discovered Old Friends 4 Sale, I must have listened to it 100 times in a week. Lol

What's the song you've played the most ever?

-Wtv u heard bout me is true,I change the rules n do what I wanna do.[Im n love w God,He's the only way - NOT!]We know we gotta die some day,so Im gon have fun evr MF night!Im gon 2 another life. How bout u?

wow. honestly through my life time it would be "when doves cry".

I love it LIVE during the 80's.. and also through the 90's when he would play it with a much faster tempo.

well according to my iTunes, I've listened to Crimson and Clover 76 times.

But I guess over my lifetime, I'd say either When Doves Cry or anything off SOTT or Lovesexy

1. Somebody's Somebody

2. Money Don't Matter 2 Night

3. Why You Wanna Treat Me So Bad?

4. Little Red Corvette

5. My Computer

Money Don't Matter 2 Night was my first big favorite that I listened to repeatedly like the OP did When Doves Cry.

Somebody's Somebody is my most listened, but I don't think it has the same replay value of Money and Why You Wanna Treat Me So Bad? Little Red Corvette is epic and I listen to it a lot, but I usually don't do replays of it. Sometimes, but usually I just listen to it very frequently. And My Computer was during my Emancipation phase and I was addicted to Somebody's Somebody and My Computer.

Those 5 will always be the immediate Prince songs I think of as my favorites and most listened to, especially the top 3.

Eye Hate U, The One, The Question of You, and Purple Rain. I don't know which one of those I've heard the most but definitely know it's one of those 4.

There was a time I'd listen to this and 17 days non-stop also. These two would make my list also, but not as musch as WDC and IIWYG.

Well, I guess many fans can say they had a WDC junkie phase.

It's gotta be something on SotT. That's the first album I got, as a cassette tape back in 1987. All throughout high school, that was the main tape I listened to while cutting my parents lawn. And it continues to be in my top 5 or so most played albums, on CD these days of course. The only question is which track. I'm gonna guess I Could Never Take the Place of Your Man.

"I could never take the place of your man", would be my guess, just his best pure pop song imo.

We're here, might as well get into it.

You mean the album version or the edit?

Before digital music? Probably "Take Me With U".

After digital music? I guess "Guitar".

There is no ONE single song that I could mention but if I had to narrow it down to a handful of songs, the list would look like this:

1. Noon Rendezvous (rehearsal version "....sitting in this cafe waiting for my baby.." )

2. Something in the Water (Does Not Compute) all versions, rehearsal or live or album..perfection!

3. When Doves Cry

4. Purple Rain....from the studio version to all those different live version, this song always sounds fresh to me.

5. If I Was Your Girlfriend. I just LOVE LOVE LOVE this song!

" I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"

I mean, I have not been a fan for a decade even, so I can't manage to answer this question really truthfully, according to the records..lol. BUT I would have to say these songs have been played more than I like to think about them.

Tangerine (Extended) I alwaysssssss seem to play it.

Power Fantastic

Into The Light/ I Will

North

All of which shows up being played on Itunes over 30 times..lol

I'd have to say it's Girl(Extended Version) (B-side of America). Quite possibly my favorite Prince song ever. I couldn't get enough of it when it came out and still love it to this day.

When eye go 2 a Prince concert or related event it's all heart up in the house but when eye log onto this site and the miasma of bitchiness is completely overwhelming!
