There are a few problems here and there ("pops" and/or "clicks"), but the overall sound quality is excellent.
Three tracks left to go:

Yeah, I'm loving this. Fantastic stuff. The remaining 3 tracks are supposed to be coming, but who knows... Chili Sauce.

I wonder how this track might have worked alongside the more band oriented tracks on the Flesh album. A Couple of Miles is very much a Linn driven studio track. I guess we would have to hear the rest of the album to really answer that question The wooh is on the one!

Yup, it has been mentioned here http://prince.org/msg/7/388286 (you may need to copy and paste this link). It's good to hear.

Funny because, Prince's music from this period mixed live drums and machines so well, that they become almost a sound to themselves and merge so well (Family/Parade) - this one's drumming is like Love or $.
PS not compared the 2, but does the NPGMadhouse track of the same name share anything more than the name? .........SORRY THAT'S LETTER 4 MILES (totally unrelated)

Madhouse - Predux
It makes so much sense why the Madhouse sessions were influenced by these ones after hearing this.

WOW!!!! Fantastic music from 26 years ago! What are you outraged about today? CNN has not told you yet?

Cool. I like it.
But I do wonder why so many people have been so hot to hear this Flesh material. I've always thought it would be cool to hear, but I fully expected it to be very similar to Madhouse. And it is.
Thanks to whoever let this loose on us

Yeah that was cool sounding. Definitely a precusor to Madhouse. Hope the rest gets released. Rebirth of the Flesh is at your door! __________________________________________________

I know it has been shared with a few fans a coupla months ago, under the promise that they wouldn't share it online or even mention that they have it on forums, as it may make some people angry and compromise the future leak of the full album. So I hope this is an "authorized" preview of what's to come and not someone who fucked up. If it is an "unauthorized" leak, I beg the powers that be not to punish the whole community out of a single person's mistake. If it's the "legit" preview of an upcoming full album leak, then my deep thanks go to everyone involved.
The Flesh is by far the most wanted unreleased-uncirculating Prince project, it would definitely be a wonderful thing to have it in its entirety. This track alone is a gem!
I wonder if only the album is in possession of elite collectors or if, by some miracle, the Paisley Jam and Everybody Jam sessions may be out as well. That would be astonishing to hear

I also beg whoever was supposed to release Connections and supposedly backed off because of that Perfect Unreleased Prince leak to reconsider. A COMPREHENSIVE PRINCE DISCOGRAPHY (work in progress ^^): https://sites.google.com/...scography/

^/ ^^ That was just a hoax.

Well, possibly, but the fact that Lust U Always and Our Destiny had different sound qualities on the original and Perfect leaks, + the fact that American and Vicki weren't on Perfect may suggest that whoever posted the original 4 tracks was a different person than whoever posted Perfect, and that Connections may therefore have been a real project. Why was it delayed or canceled then? I bloody don't know A COMPREHENSIVE PRINCE DISCOGRAPHY (work in progress ^^): https://sites.google.com/...scography/

Wow! What a pleasant surprise. Sounds great. 1982-1988 are certainly my favorite years. Early Madhouse sound for sure.
Seems like when we get a new official single from Prince lately it's been followed up by a near perfect quality unreleased track from out of nowhere. Can't help to wonder how many of these unreleased tracks have had some help getting out of the vault from it's owner? I really doubt someones been sitting on this stuff for all these years. If Prince is just sharing these that there are very few who have this material and he'd be all over it in a hot mess. Who really knows? Obviously not me. I'm just happy to get to hear some of this stuff in my lifetime. Funny how he expects his vault material to be released someday just not by him. Assuming he means after he passes of course but still the fact he acknowledges it will be released someday makes me wonder if he has and idea of what stuff he'd like out there when he's gone. I know I'm just talking out my ass but it's fun to speculate. See what a old school tune will do to ya? [Edited 10/15/12 6:12am] "Hey, I got the butta 4 ya muffin, honey.. NO, NO, NO, NO!!!
Please don't go there, don't start this again, STOP!!!
"Who really knows"? Many people on this forum, actually. Prince didn't leak A Couple Of Miles. This I know for a fact because I more or less know where the leak comes from. I also know the backstory of a few other circulating recordings (both studio and live) and many people here know more stories than I do and have occasionally shared these infos on this very forum. We DO know where the tapes come from. We know some names, we know some stories, different people know different bits and pieces and when you've hung out in this community and read fan forums for as long as I have, you end-up figuring out some parts of the puzzle.
Besides, several Prince associates explained that the leaks mostly came from tapes Prince made for friends, collaborators, labels executives or girlfriends in the 80's and early 90's. There may have been a few people stealing shit from Prince at some point, too, but it is unsure when and how they did it. No one can be in a "hot mess" because most of these people have been out of Prince's camp for years if not decades so they ain't got no job to lose, and there is no way to prove legally that they did anything. Still, it has been rumored that some outtakes which are held by a few collectors are still being kept private in order to protect some people whose interests are still linked to Prince's. It is very clear that, though being aware of the risks when giving tapes (which he completely stopped doing in 1996 and oh! no more outtakes ever since, how odd!), Prince most likely never, EVER, willingly allowed any "bootleg" studio or live recording to reach bootleggers and/or the internet community.
So please just quit spreading conspiracy theories which happen to have been proven wrong countless times. There is no debate. It's not about what you THINK and what I THINK, it's about what we KNOW.
Thanks.

Like good ol' T. taggin' his sets of outtakes
I therefore take it that this new leak is not tagged and has therefore been "authorized"?
More coming, huh?

Databank,
This is not a good move for whomever did this, I can tell you that much. It was supposed to stay behind closed doors, period...
