Soooo glad I got to see them in Oakland together before their falling out.

Sheila and Prince had the same chemistry they did in the SOTT movie. It was intense and awesome to behold.

Yup, sure was. nod

You guys are projecting what you believe their individual thoughts behind their statements were. That's a stretch at the very least and dangerous.

Well, when you have conversations with people you're constantly doing the same thing. When someone says something negative about someone else you're going to be making guesses about their motives for doing so. As long as nobody's trying to make it seem that they really know what they were thinking it shouldn't be, as you call it, "dangerous".

We've witnessed so many of these celebrities and musicians posting dumb and immature things on Twitter (and Facebook) and that only makes me think they are just terrible with Internet communication in general. They haven't spent a lot of time hanging in chats and forums as many "regular" Internet users have and can't always such things too well.

It usually takes a little bit time for everyone to learn that you can't just post any fucking shit that first pops up in your mind.

You didn't go to any of his shows when Kirky J was the drummer, did you?

I agree that there's certainly not enough information on this situation around for anyone to say anything definitive on it.

Also don't underestimate the "focus" time which artists can be in just before they go on the stage. No matter how routined and how many times the stages have been entered, concentration can be needed at that moment.

I'm thinking it's more than a money issue. He must've really insulted her in some way. The San Jose concert may have been part of it, but I think he said something to her as well. I gather it's not known publicly if Sheila is gay or straight, but Prince might have said something demeaning about her sexuality. Yes, I'm speculating.

Speaking of sex, Prince & Sheila, they should have had a baby together! If Sheila is gay, Prince would have been a good sperm donor. And if Sheila is straight, then they could've done it the old fashioned way. That would be one amazing kid and would have brought so much joy to their lives. Well, I can only dream.

I remember that! He did indirectly say something about her sexual preference...can't recall what was exactly said but it was during the sampler set. It was funny. Don't think she took offense to it though but I remember thinking wow that's the first time I heard him say something about it.
I'm glad no child was made between them.

Sheila brings a hell of a lot of personality to the table performance wise. A great performer.

This is true

But thats the side of Prince 1 me that says he doesnt respect with knowledge his foundational legacy which really is 1976-1989

the proteges with the least talent still had something, charisma, personality, was Vanity the best singer or could play an instrument? no but she owned that character Vanity she emulated the vision Prince had and brought out herself at the same time. They all were like that, Princes band members too.

Sheila puts on the show she does because she was a part of that purple n paisley rain when they brought uptown and erotic city 2 u and u believed it

but she STILL puts on a great show becasue of her talent.

Yup, Sheila E. can carry a show all by herself. nod She doesn't need Prince... Saw her three times in the last two years with just her & her band and/or family members.

People are projecting I think. The song order was Glamorous Life/Get On The Boat (outro)/Instrumental Break/Old Friends 4 Sale. Love Bizarre didn't come until the sampler set much later.
