People greatly underestimate the importance or synergy in artistry. That's Prince's problem now: no fuel. In his greatest moments he was surrounded by the right fuel.

the proteges with the least talent still had something, charisma, personality, was Vanity the best singer or could play an instrument? no but she owned that character Vanity she emulated the vision Prince had and brought out herself at the same time. They all were like that, Princes band members too.

I'm thinking it's more than a money issue. He must've really insulted her in some way. The San Jose concert may have been part of it, but I think he said something to her as well. I gather it's not known publicly if Sheila is gay or straight, but Prince might have said something demeaning about her sexuality. Yes, I'm speculating.

Speaking of sex, Prince & Sheila, they should have had a baby together! If Sheila is gay, Prince would have been a good sperm donor. And if Sheila is straight, then they could've done it the old fashioned way. That would be one amazing kid and would have brought so much joy to their lives. Well, I can only dream.

Well I'm glad I had the joy of seeing them both on stage together on dec. 17, 2010... 1st Prince concert too .

What did she say?

I don't think she really meant it that way. She was tweeting about how much she liked Madonna's Superbowl half-time show and somebody called her out on that as Madonna uses prerecorded vocals. She just reacted to that. It was a stupid comment all right, but she probably didn't think too much of it beforehand.

It's pretty fucking obvious Prince didn't lipsync on his Superbowl performance. He was hardly at his peak as a vocalist that night.

Thanks for posting that Novabrkr. Yes, I agree that she probably didn't mean it like that. But in my opinion, it showed just how bitter she really was over whatever had gone down between them. She shouldn't have even insinuated it because she knows that people would take her seriously given her past role in Prince's camp. Prince prides himself on being a stellar live performer. She knew that wasn't true when she tweeted it.

I'm sorry I love Sheila to death. But it is no excuse 4 that remark she made. She totally threw him under bus....I lost a little respect 4 her when she said that.But on a positive note she said some good things about him on "Unsung". But i'm sure that was done b4 the fall out...

Soooo glad I got to see them in Oakland together before their falling out.

Sheila and Prince had the same chemistry they did in the SOTT movie. It was intense and awesome to behold.

I came across Sheila E at her family launching of their new album here in La La land & was going to ask her about it. But my girlfriend at the time begged me not to. So I decided it wasn't the right time or moment. Since it was about her family not her at that time. I'm glad I didn't mention it..Could have been carried away by her bodyguard who was a big presence in front of her...
