What are your CHOICES for the WORST SONG on Otherwise GREAT albums? Well?
For me, I LOVE listening to LoveSexy, but I am dumbfounded by CAT's rap on alphabet street. It just doesn't fit the song, and the entire last half othe album version gets on my last nerve.
I also think "LOVE" from 3121 is an awful tune. I was stunned so many people considered the 'obvious single' for the album, because I love the album, minus that one song. I'm not crazy about "Get on the Boat", but it fit the album. "Love" simply feels out of place to me.

lets see...
a lot of the albums mentioned, I listen all the way through (Come, Purple Rain, Parade).
The Gold Experience-- on future run-throughs, "We march" will probably will hit the cutting room floor cuz I don't get into it as much... but the worst there is NOW... a lot of people like it, I never got it... I'm not a fan of Prince rapping or bringing that hip-hop edge to his work and there are times he does it well... this is
The Truth-- Animal Kingdom... the rest of the album is so solid, but then again, whenever I upload the album to my iPod I just leave that one off, lol
Lovesexy-- for a while, I wanted to leave off "Dance on" cuz I couldn't get into it... it's slowly winning me over
D&P-- Jughead... don't have to go much further than that had 2 run away... pride was 2 strong. It started raining, baby, the birds were gone | |

1. Solo off Come, its a very bad self indulgent experiment that ruins the flow of a solid R and B album.
2. The Flow/Arrogance off the Symbol Album
3. Ronnie talk 2 Russia and Annie Christian off Controversy, such a shame as its a great album
4. Dance on off Lovesexy, serves no purpose, its just a filler track
I could add others, but either the worst song on them is still great like Slow Love on Sign and All the critics off 1999, or the albums are so average that theres more than one super wack song on them like Emancipation, GB etc. Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name | |

I wouldn't call it a "great" album but "20 Ten" is definitely one of the better Prince albums of the 2000s. All of it except that rediculous sellout shit hop disgrace of a track "Laydown". He sounds like a queen out in a prison yard trying to impress and work the rough trade. Andy is a four letter word. | |

Gotta Broken Heart Again: Only because it's the weakest song on a really good album Ronnie Talk to Russia: Like the above plus that it's dated and was lyrically trite even in 1981 Free: Imagine "Moonbeam Levels" here instead Tamborine: Would have been a cool b-side but... Agreed! Also one of my favourites of the 90's. Would have been perfect, had he not replaced Days of Wild with We March. Wasn't it in response to a reviewer saying that Days of Wild was a poor attempt at gangsta rap? | |
