Prince has not retired. He is just waiting for a new way 2 release his "MasterPieces" without them being lost in the dust or pirated 2 the point of people not buying them.That is why he came up with the newspaper distribution idea which was brilliant .

It would b a waste 4 him 2 keep releasing albums like he has been year after year without his casual fans knowing about them. Most peeps that talk 2 about Prince that don't follow him like do always say. When is Prince going 2 release a new album? 'm like "he has been releasing albums every year". Their answer is always never heard or seen them... 'm like

That is why he needs a website-so people could buy his post WB music. He could even do a joint venture with Amazon-Because Amazon could run the web stuff and Prince's provides the music and both would gain from the publicity.

Ok in my opinion really feel he just pulled the plug on it because of the disappointing membership. it was so much build up 2 this site. It even was a launching party @ his Hollywood mansion. Then at a ben3fit 4 Tavis Smiley. He let us fans play with the site b 4 it launched. Something happen that pissed Prince off. 2 make him pull the plug on the whole "MasterPiece" website b4 all the promises we're made..

It was a brilliant idea. The site ,The album,The concerts. Then poof it was all gone.Just like that. With no warning..

is it possible there were horrendous leaks in the system and mucho material got out even before this whole thing got put into play??

The new CD of Larry Graham is expected to be released on Art Of Groove and not on NPG Records... So, any reason to see a new power pack for these artists.

Because nobody is offering him enough money up front, would be my guess. He's made a pretty big deal about how all his recent one-off deals have leaned heavily in his favor, starting with Musicology.
