Last night I was on the phone with my girlfriend. We were talking about our financial situations being rough...and she said, "Money don't matter, it sure didn't used to." Of course I thought of Prince's, "Money don't Matter 2 night."
I Love this song, but we know that it doesn't hold as much weight as the words are pretty to sing. No one needs tons of money, but when trying to just make ends meet, it can seem like your world turns upside down. I know the economy is bad for a lot of people so I don't mean to complain...
It's true that we are better off making sure our souls are alright, but sometimes when money problems are bad for such a long period of time and U can't get out of the financial rut, or viscious cycle, it takes it's toll on your attitude. I might have it better than half of the world, but I'd rather be in a position to have enough to "give," than barely enough to get by. It's an uphill climb to the finish line. | |
