I can never understand all the haters on it? Shit.. If U don't like Prince, which MANY in the world DON'T ... Then DON'T listen to his music, or go on his FAN sites.. There are alot of singers I do not like.. But I do not waste my time on their fan web sites bashing them???

Honestly Herb, I'd take that.. I mean Alot of artists come out with Cds that EVERY song is not wonderful.. we will see if it devlopes in to something..

That's what I've felt for a lot of Prince's albums post 1998. However, the breakdown for 20ten was a little more like:

Second, if you don't care about a "weak - one more time" album, nobody is forcing you to buy it and it would take common sense to not click on a thread that mentioned a new album if you weren't concerned to begin with. SHOCKER OF THE WEEK: People actually do care for his new stuff!

Stop using Prince's name in the second person. He can't read what your typing and he sure doesn't give a damn want you want. Prince does what he wants to do, maybe not always successfully, but he a least tries different things with music on his own terms. If you were an experienced Prince fan, you would know that about him. You would know that Prince (or even any other artist) is not going to cater to every fan's personal wish.

Now why won't you go on and sign up to an Earth, Wind, and Fire fansite and praise them and their precious boxset while the Prince fans anticipate a rumored album because at least some Prince fans appreciate his new work even if he doesn't give us the remasters or a weird big ass box set of his 80's material. I'd buy it and probably enjoy it but I could live with never getting it.

Now stop pouting and whining like a three year old. Grow up.

Yes it would be super, but please make it a real CD... One you can get for free in a newspaper... Not these wacky overseas release that are only available exclusively in US chain stores...

Cool news (appreciated! ), but as has been said, Prince in a recording studio does not a CD make.

Fingers crossed though, particularly if the analogue recording does lead to a CD/LP release.

He also needs to keep paying these court fees etc. I don't think this one will be free. My only hope is that he sings WITH Andy just like the song Elixer he did with Bria and does not give her a whole bunch of singles to carry alone.

Has he sung "Elixer" with Andy on stage yet? I am sure that it has crossed his mind.

Wrong. Recorded analog is what counts. Once you master in Pro Tools after the recording stage, you are simply transferring and converting... Ideally, the original analog would then result in vinyl, but IF it is going to CD, etc, then the original recording process is what counts, ultimately. 2" tape does this. It's really the performance, the mix, and the treatment that matters... it that order.
