Prince accents Prince seems to use different accents when singing/talking. In 'International Lover' he seems to be affecting a British English accent while at other times he appears to be using some Southern Louisiana accent in some of his blues songs (e.g.'Cockeyed Woman'). Do you think that Prince feels his own Minnesota accent just isn't funky/cool/rock 'n roll enough?

He does the same thing in Interviews, though he's been more consistent since the late 90s.
But if you catch his UTCM interviews, and compare those to Jay Leno or George Lopez you'll hear differences.
I think he rehearses his 'accent' and talking points, and that's why we get such shitty answers, but Prince remains "cool" during the interview.
