Well I can't post the footage but Prince brought Kanye on stage during the performance of "If I Was Your Girlfriend".

I've told my daughter that I was not paying for her to go see Jay Z and Kanye because I just do not find and have not found...Kanye relevent enough to justify spending my money on.

As soon as she hear's about this...she's going to throw the Prince factor in my face...until I have no other choice but to literally, bluntly, hurt her motherfucking feelings! And I am her SHERO!

I saw the video clip and laughed. Kaney kept repeating a few curse words over and over again. "Hell" being the prominant curse word--not a bad one, but one Prince doesn't say either. lol

I don't get why some people are giving Kanye a hard time. It's not like his improvised party chants are any less inventive or more annoying than Shelby's and Prince's ('aint no party like an npg party' ugh).

Funny how people are acting like Prince has some midas touch stamp of approval that other artists need. I'm sure there are people on Kanye fansites wondering why the hell is Kanye even going to a Prince show, gracing his stage, giving Prince credibility.

Prince is a legend yes. But like it or not, Watch the Throne is HUGE. Prince doing this is like him pulling up that Gossip Girls actress in NYC--who the hell is she? Well apparently she was "she" enough to earn Prince some press on blogs/zines/etc. In music, Kanye & Jay Z are about to having one of the biggest debuts this year when the charts are tabulated...

So be careful when you start complaining about coattail riding, cuz it may not be our boy who's wearing the coat this time around.

Kanye is actually quite talented. I haven't really enjoyed a full album of his but he always has a few great tracks on each one that i can spin for a long while.

Damn, so much hate against Kanye. Personally all of his albums are better than any prince album released in 10 years atleast. Kanye has brought many classics, both songs and albums. And his beats is 10 times more inventive than what a new prince is doing for the moment. I'm not even that much of a fan of Kanye, but damn he's good when he is doing his best. He's got an annoying voice and attitude sometimes yes. But I doubt any of yall hateres really have any clue on his actual skills. Regular Prince fans are haters agains anyone who doesnt play more than 4 basic instruments on a high level, as well as mixing pop, funk, orchestra, blues, jazz and rnb. Anything else is just pure garbage. Seriously?

I think people are reading way too much into this.

Kanye got on stage at a time when they were inviting fans to get on stage and dance and he chanted for a bit and then disappeared again.

I'd imagine that he simply happened to be in (or close to) the same city on the same night and decided to catch a Prince concert; then Prince heard he was in the audience and decided (wisely or not so wisely) to give him the mic when he got up on stage to dance.

Given what he said when he did, I don't imagine it will be happening again any time soon

I don't think for a moment that Prince is 'courting' him and I'm certain he doesn't think he needs him (he's never gone in for that Madonna style of promotion), nor do I think it has a lot to do with image other than possibly a little bit of showing off the celebrities that come to Prince concerts, similar to what went on in NY and LA.

Fun for Kanye fans I'm sure - not really a big deal to the rest of us.

As a performer, maybe not more of a talent than a huge ego with special effects. Creating huge hits and classics as well as some of the most interesting instrumentals of modern times, I would certainly not say that is has no real talent.
