Melkweg 2nd Night (Love Or Money/Confusion Records)

Has just started being shared at some of the usual places.

Released by the new label Love Or Money and with the audio enhanced by Confusion Records.

The best Prince gig since Le New Morning. A real bomb!

Grab and discuss!

wink

Well give us a chance to..find (10 seconds), drop (near on day) , listen (after I finish tracking Dublin smile ) , respond (when I can find the right words)!!!

but if you need a hug the Art work is nice (not great but nice never the less) biggrin

Seriously I'm looking forward to this...great job to all involved, and thanks for sharing!

A hug? Me? LOL

It just puzzles me that no one comments about this because they're seem to be too busy talking about the most stupid things a human brain could think of.

And they're really outdoing themselves on that regard as of late.

I'm waiting for this to download and I'm sure I'l love it. There plenty of efficiently put out tunes. I appreciate all the hard work fans put into this...as well as Prince and the members of the band.

but one question....

why do they always insist on having multiple discs? Do these ever make it to disc?....i unno...u understand what I'm sayin'?

I'm not sure I understand your remark.

Many people keep on burning cds (and printing artworks).

Was that your question?

And of course you'll love it: one has to be deaf not to.

i unno...I just don't see the point of that. I'm usually busy trying to get RID of the disc distinction that come with boots.

My tongue was firmly in cheek ...as I think the Artwork has some very classic lines and strokes.

But don't tell vitriol this as he finds it so hard to say nice things himself razz

Definetely an essential boot - What's My Name, Chocolate, Mutiny and the arrangements on Kiss - madness! Indeed the best small club show since New Morning - although DNA 1993(?) was pretty good too.

I remember after Mutiny thinking "Prince, you can stop now, this hour was worth the 100 euro's" smile

Little did I know - Flashlight funks too!

dancing jig Yay! Another great bootleg. But why always effing flac, isn't 356kb/s mp3 good enough? The converting programs in flac are always stupid trials. Do you all have quad amplifiers and kef speakers or what?
Edit: but before you all shoot me, I'm still happy that there are bootleggers willing to take the risk to record these great shows! wink

No . mp3 is shite , it's degrades music and should be outlawed mad razz

You can easily burn FLAC files to a cd with Burrrn (freeware !) or Nero

Btw there's several freeware programs you can use to convert flac to mp3

but i really can't fathom why anyone would prefer inferior , compressed , shitty degraded sound quality when something's available in lossless format

hm thanks I will check out "burrrn" then. The thing I hated about flac was the converting. I have to convert it to put it in my itunes or play it with windows media player.

to be honest the only place I can hear the difference between flac and 356kb/s mp3 is in my dads car. my amplifier/my hearing must be shit lol

cool

Anytime

Burrrn is great , i use it all the time

Btw you can play FLAC files in Winamp if you like (freeware)

It also enables you to rip cd's to FLAC

I've ripped my entire cd collection using Winamp

I can't account for that:lol:

Ignorance comes for free, it seems...

(I'm sorry, I could never remain silent after reading that... When will some of you realize that YOU CAN ALWAYS TURN LOSSLESS TO LOSSY BUT YOU CAN NEVER TURN LOSSY TO LOSSLESS. It's like if you're being presented with a Porsche you replied: Er... thanks, but I was expecting an old rusty bicycle...).

If you can tell the difference in your dad's car, then, there is a difference. Maybe most of us listen on better systems than you. I convert for the iPod, too. But, I'll always take FLAC when given the choice. I don't want to have to listen to iPod quality when I'm at home with a good system!

Not dead, not in prison, still funkin'...

I don't know if I'd say it's the best since Le New Morning but it sounds like a really fun show. I think the new arrangment of Dorothy Parker is pretty great. Chocolate and Mutiny are also brilliant performances and welcome set list additions. I Like It There made me want to dig out my Chaos CD and give it a spin again for old times sake. I always thought it was a great summer disc.

Beautiful Strange was kind of a let down for me. He sort of strays from the vocal melody which kind of bugs me about him sometimes. Like when he first did Future Soul Song last year at some Euro gig. The guitar work on it and on all of the rockier songs from disc 2 was pretty stunning and I would kill to have been there to see it.

Opening the show with What's My Name I think is pretty fucking brilliant. Seems like a perfect opening number for an aftershow to me.

It's hard for me to truly appreciate this gig because of the sound quality of the release. It's always been a chore for me to really get into an audience recording. That said, it's very cool to be able to hear it and thanks to all of those to got it out there for us to listen to.
