I've always said this. The Ballad Of Dorothy Parker definitely has a neo-soul vibe to it. I think it may have been influential, especially to cats like D'Angelo who LOVE Prince.

Listen, I live in San Diego, we always adress our friends by race. We've been doing that since kindergarden. My black friend adress me as their Columbian friend, and I adress them as my black friends. It's just what we do. I wasn't trying to do that on purpose, it's a natural thing. Sorry.

Just curious, are you a white dude? From my experience (as a minority), people who proudly profess to being color-blind are usually light on the melanin side. When you're non-white, being color-blind doesn't mean anything, because there will always be people/situations to remind you of the differences. There is nothing wrong with acknowledging and respecting that someone has a different race/culture from your own, as long folks don't hate and denigrate...
