I don't think it means anything to be honest. Just speculation. The track just sounds like a quick rehearsal run-through, recorded with a smartphone or something. Interesting from a collector's perspective, but hardly interesting if that's representative of a new album...

The whole deal there is a bit disturbing. Prince chooses someone who uses the word "Funk" in vain as his publicity. It's all pop gossip, and the writing is so terrible, it's not easy to decipher.
