Damn! Just got my copy in the mail. The sound quality of these shows are incredible and the set lists are pretty darn good too. Props to PRINCE AND THE BAND and EYE RECORDS on this one.

Yes. I buy pressed cds of soundboards that are of high quality. Small Club, 2nd Show That Night, 84 Birthday Show, My Band's Tight (copenhagen 2002), Montreux 2009, and several of the City Lights shows from the 80's. It's a mimimal amount of money when compared to all the officially released material I've paid for over the last 30 years. I have an EXTENSIVE collection.

A lot of us used to buy pressed cd bootlegs as it was the only way we could get them (pre downloading), and I sort of understand if you still want to buy them today, but bootlegs such as the '84 Birthday Show are FREE releases, they were distributed as such and were never intended to be hijacked by some leech and sold for money.

Well i'm rockin the shit out of these discs, simply amazing! i love the version of Peach, is it me or does it seem faster than normal, the sound quality is perfect, i wonder if the delay in the soundboard release was due to waiting for an official release, any way there's no need now!

Is there a pro shot dvd out?

I hoped that this show would appear in soundboard quality ever since I heard the Soundboard Sampler released in 2009. I never actually expected it to happen, so obviously I'm stoked.

After a few listens, I still struggle to really get in to the first show. The string of ballads at the end really doesn't work. Prince can't sing them with any presence these days. As a result the show just tails off. Having said that, 'When the Lights Go Down' and in particular 'All This Love' are awesome.

On the other hand, the second show is the mutt's nuts!!! The first half ('When I Lay My Hands On U' thru 'When U Were Mine') just doesn't let up and all the songs also performed in the first show are better here. A real treat!

As for the Cannes show... why is it included!? A dull soundboard and a dull show.
