And, I'm glad he FINALLY added a rhythm guitarist to the band. I don't know how long Andy will perform with him, but her playing rounds out the sound tremendously!! That and him supposedly wearing her clothes from being up since the Montreux shows (I know it was a joke, but I'm sure he has at some point already, lol) says to me he's gettin' some of that Allo puss. And good for him, because I'd be all up in that sweet, cute little thing.

Still, I have to say, get rid of Shelby. That whole "hype woman" shit is for the boids. This was one of her least "overpowering" appearances, though. Still, she needs to go. Great voice. Great talent. Just too too for a Prince band/show. The backing vox can easily be sufficiently done by the rest of the crew.

And one more thing. NO RENATO TURNING PRINCE'S SHIT TO A JAZZ LITE LOUNGE SHOW!! Yes!!!!!

I could not hear her either, and she was not playing at all a lot of the time. As opposed to Ida who is awesome. Granted, I was quietly watching a crappy streaming video, and will reserve final judgement!

Pretty good performance. Wasn't that impressed with the first couple of songs, but it picked up from "Peach" onwards. Some of his solos were amazing. He seemed a little edgy or something though - maybe it was the fact that they came straight from Montreal... or maybe I'm just reading too much into his body language. But yeah. Funky as always

Just watched this and here are my thoughts:

1. Prince seems so much more relaxed in Europe than he does in the US

2. Fantastic performance and nice interview too

3. Looks like he was having fun just blowing off some steam after a long airplane flight from Canada

4. I'm keeping my fingers and toes crossed that the live footage from LA will see the light of day, preferably on a full concert dvd

5. I like those boots too Prince!

6. I know all you lucky Europeans are going to have an awesome time over the next couple of months!

Can someone explain to me what that Allo chick is useful for? She has terrible voice, and why is at the forefront? I don't give a shit about her People Pleaser crap song, and why does Prince have her and Shelby in Europe? I don't wanna see that

Are we gonna get Allo songs, and Shelby raps in between Prince songs now at those concerts.

C'mon, "People Pleaser" is a great song. She is great to look at and her voice is cute as hell too.

No seriously, this has put me off so badly. I kinda figured I'd have shelby jumping on stage and rapping along in front of me at that damn stage, and Prince presenting Allo to me, and her weak cute voice singing some stupid songs. That's 1 hour of Prince gig gone for shit.

This can't be what I want. Besides, why does he have those people here in Europe? Don't we deserve something similar like the US shows? He's gonna serve us cheaply.

Edit: I assume there won't be any dancers (twinZ), which means we will definately get Shelby and Allo wasting our Prince gig time on that stage masquerading around. Damn!

One thing I noticed from the clips, is that Prince is a "Musician" or "Artist" in quotations, not a pop or rock "star". When he plays, he PLAYS and he makes it look effortless. The man is definatly at the top of his game. At his age most pop "stars" are a shell of their former selves, by the raveges of drugs and time or what not. But this man is a top notch musician and composer,entertainer and all around fine artist. Much props to the man.

imho, it was one of his best tv appearances ever. he looked relaxed, he looked like he was having a good time, and the performance was electric
