Acknowledge Me, yay or nay!

This might be a bit harder. I really adore this song. The chorus is classic, but the hip/hoppy vibe may turn off some, I'd bet. It doesn't stick to my ribs like it did back in the day, but it is still a very good song. Decent yay.

A big 'yay' in 1995. A big 'eh' in 2011.

I enjoyed it moreso when I first heard it in the ninties. It's still okay, but it sounds a bit dated to me now. The 'magic' that was there when I originally listened to the song isn't there for me any more.

One of my favorites from the era. I made a disc with the outtakes of the Gold Experience era stuff that flows very well. smile I also cut out most of the parts with the NPG operator and edited down Days of Wild to allow this to fit on one disc. Some of the other songs are slightly edited to flow from song to song.

Nay for me. I don't like any of that 90s sound stuff from any artist. And I wasn't feeling most of Prince's music during the early to mid 90s (e.g. Love Sign, Days of Wild, etc.).

A big YAY! Love Acknowledge Me. At the time it was his best rap in a song IMO.

I will always remember the Soul Train performance of it with Mayte. Great chemistry and P was in stellar lip synch mode! wink

The greatest live performer of our times was is and always will be Prince.

I love it. I listen to this a lot. I love retro 90's songs so this fits right in. One of the few times I enjoyed him rapping too.

Never been a massive fan of Prince rapping, but I've always liked the rap on this one too.

Little? Yeah, right. It might be little but it's loud
