If you caught the George Lopez show, you'll see that when George asked Prince if he's vegan Prince said he's vegetarian...any thoughts? I wonder what made him go back to dairy and/or eggs again.

Yep, and it's what he obviously is: Omnivorous.
First he's a vegetarian who doesn't eat red meat, as if vegetarians consume meat at all. Then, he states how there's only one Law & Order, when there are 3.....I wonder if he looks back at his interviews and thinks: "The heck was I talking about?"
....
Technically, there is ONLY 1 Law and Order. There are other shows..SVU, Criminal Intent, Trial By Jury, etc. but there is only 1 Law and Order. All others are spin-offs.

oh that Larry...what a trouble maker... lol
That's not true at all. When he was interviewed by Oprah, he mentioned that he had been a vegetarian for over a decade at the time.
i was teasing about Larry, everyone wants to blame him for everything...don't see how being vegan is a bad thing tho lol "Is anyone pregnant yet?" - Prince 3.26.11 |

@ how ridiculous many of the posts on this thread are - Mayte influenced Prince to be a vegan; no that evil guru Larry influenced Prince to be a vegan; wait a minute, Prince became a vegan for religious reasons; but Prince ate meat 30 years ago so how can he be a vegan now; blah blah blah.
It's just too much! Whatever the reason for his diet change, Prince stated himself that HE IS A VEGETARIAN. Many people have changed their diets throughout their lives for different reasons. At the end of the day, when you know better you do better. I have been a vegetarian for 18 years. I was not influenced by anything but the knowledge that I gained from researching diet and health. Maybe Prince did the same.
And for those of you who think the virgin goddess Mayte influenced Prince to be a vegan, when was that? Was it before she was on TV barbecuing steaks with Tommy Lee when she was running around with him on his reality show?
I remember reading the tabloid article by the Mojica twins that quoted them saying that Mayte was so hungry while pregnant, she'd go to fast food joints and eat chicken and fish but when she got home, she'd be so scared he'd smell the meat on HER. (If this story is even credible )So who influenced who is prob not the question. This discussion was bought about from the statement he made on t.v not the desire to know when he has done this. As we all know or can assume, Prince is a chameleon, often changing is mind, ideas, thoughts and actions as his life goes on. Back on topic, to me it's unclear as to what he really is now. When he shrugged his shoulders and called himself a vegetarian but immediately clarified that he "dosen't eat red meat THOUGH" and then says especially(?) not kind of tells me that yes, he does eat fish and perhaps chicken "THOUGH" no red meat . Idk ...anything we say is pure speculation...and really..does it matter? As long as the man is healthy, he can eat tire irons for all I care. Long live the purple yoda! And by no means is this an attack on what you said Bellanoche. You're post just reminded me of the Mojicas story and I wanted to post my Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead.
Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow.
Do not walk beside me, either. Just leave me the hell alone |

My vegan friends never stayed vegan for too long since they were seriously lacking protein (the protein supplements didn't cut it). Two of my friends became malnourished and decided to transistion to vegetarianism (and one more recently began eating meat again). I don't mean to knock the diet, I'm sure my friends just had issues with how they metabolized and that's why it didn't work for them.
Either way his heart is in the right place and he looked healthier on the Lopez Tonight show. I'm really glad that he's a conscious eater, it's really admirable. |
