There's a long standing rumor that many street vendors use dog meat for hot dogs (well in Russia I'm almost 100% sure they do.). In Korea it's not even a secret that they eat dog meat, which if one form of meat that I refuse to eat. So that's how I read that comment.

As for becoming "vegetarian", and if you ask me he sounded a bit unsure as to what to call himself. Then he made that red meat announcement. I suspect Prince is back to munching on everything he can get his tiny well manicured hands on except for red meat, although he's totally missing out on all the juicy bits.

Also even Natalie Portman is no longer vegan, she's back to dairy and all the good stuff.

Frankly I think being vegan and/or vegetarian is on it's way out of style.

As I said above, many of us have firm moral convictions against the use of animals as food (but also as clothing, decor, etc.). For us, refusing to participate in these practices (which invariably entail the infliction of cruelty and suffering upon other living beings) is not merely a "style". I see more and more people adopting this viewpoint, not fewer and fewer, as you suggest. I see more and more people who have come to understand that there really is no moral distinction between what is done to animals in slaughterhouses and what Michael Vick was doing.

Great! It's really not that hard to make the transition. You really have to become accustomed to reading the ingredients labels of products carefully.

I even noticed he kinda shrugged his shoulders a bit and said "vegitarian, I ain't messin' with not red meat tho" (or something like that.) which to me...meant...he's eating white meat also (fish, and chicken)...not so much a vegitarian at all, more like the only thing I don't eat is red meat. (is there a name for that?)

Hey Shorty, I wondered the same thing that you wrote. Well, I guess each person kind of defines what it means for them to be a vegetarian. I'm also a vegetarian (but was never a vegan) and from what I can tell, Prince probably was thinking, "Yeah most of the time I'm a vegetarian" but perhaps every so often has fish or something like that. I guess it's like having a part-time job or something, sometimes you're there, sometimes you're not but you're still employed there, LOL!

Do you really believe that eating meat is ethical and tastes "juicy" but yet you wouldn't eat dog meat? I don't understand the logic, if there is any.

Someone once pointed out to me that most of the meat we eat is not from meat-eating animals. This is not totally true (esp of fish or pigs) but is true to some degree. Interesting, anyway.

Mostly I think the reason is...eating meat is gross! we only want to eat the familiar things, new meats are revolting to us.

I admit it, I am a meat hypocrite. I eat meat but I think the concept is disgusting. Some day maybe I will stop.

I should say, I don't think it's wrong, I think it's gross.
