Maybe you're right. I happen to love "Had U", too, and I was under the impression that we were far from being alone.

Also, my point is that there's a difference between saying that TGE is his best album of the 90's (which is quite a "standard" opinion I think) and saying that the album is genius. I think TGE is a good contender for "best album of the 90's" (as is ), but it is flawed (segues, cowbells in "Endorphinmachine", better version of TMBGITW on "The Beautiful Experience", etc.).

I agree that TGE could be better, especially Endorphinmachine, the unreleased version is better. And I'd replace We March with either Love Sign, Interactive or Days of Wild

and oh i dontt like Billy Jack Bitch, should have been left of the record all togethar.

Well, for me it is not a question of which version is better. All the songs you mention sometimes I like, but mostly find bland.

So what I am saying is: It probably couldn't have been better. It shows where Prince was at at the time. A bland place.

7. 3121, 2010, Musicology, and Planet Earth are better albums as a whole than 1999, Lovesexy, ATWIAD, Parade...though the latter albums have brighter spots with AnnaStesia, LRC, Kiss, which are in the top 20 best songs of all time. Rave is better than TRC, Graffiti Bridge is better than Parade, MPLS is better than Lotus

8. Prince is a really good actor, and I like his rapping. It makes him interesting.

9. The Black Album sucks..it only has 1 good song-W2RIL! Glad he put out Lovesexy instead!

10. Musicology-2010 is his BEST lot of 5 consecutive albums. SOTT-D&P is almost as good, take out Batman and add and its better.

LOL That has nothing to do with it. There are fans younger than me that dig some of the stuff I hate. And older fans who don't like some of his older stuff. Taste has little to do with age. I've loved Prince for a longggggg time. I just find alot of his newer stuff more pleasureable than his older stuff. And seeing stuff live helps sometimes, but some songs, there is no hope, I'll never love them. Though I still listen to them, just not as much as those that I love..

Another good point. I also don't like that it almost every song has a big 2 minute stadium rock ending to them. But, when the Purple Rain show was good, it was really good. The Purple Rain Tour performances of Irresistible Bitch, I Would Die 4 U, Let's Go Crazy and Baby I'm A Star have never been betterered in my opinion.
