Yes and no.

I had a short listen to the opening night show, quality was quite average imo.

I keep grabbing these shows because I have bootleg collectors sickness....LOL, but the last recent live recording I listened to all the way through was Viage2 from last year.

The 20Ten tour stuff really disappointed me, and as a result, I just can't bring myself to listen to all the W2A stuff.

Just thinking about this, I did not even bother to download all the NY, Oakland and wherever else shows.

Did you hear the NYC Darby aftershow? He played Endorphinemachine which was ok I guess. He played a fair bit of nice guitar solo, but did not really sing the lyrics, he started to sing the song, then he let the crowd take over, but then it ended up as the usual cabaret band instrumental thing he has going on of late.

The USA recordings are not a patch on the European stuff in terms of sound quality though. I think the Americans need more practice with recording Prince gigs....LOL.

I went 2 both shows and they we're very good sound wise. I'm guessing that the quality of the recordings must have come from the crowd and not the sound board. What is the name of the boots btw?

I have every boot that has been released but can't be arsed listening to them.

It's just a completist thing: grabbing and directly archiving.

I was at the Forum last night (Friday) and I saw that they were filming the concert..Prince and the band killed it last night...the show was off the chain....I can't wait for the boot....

Same here...I listened to Viage2 but I haven't downloaded the NY shows either...I also need more space on my laptop....I wasn't disappointed with the shows...I just want to hear something that I haven't heard from the previous shows before I will download it...I'm sorry, but disk space is really precious to me now...

Except for the 23rd, they are all around now.

Best quality is the 22nd enhanced version.

The 23rd is out now, too, although I haven't listened to it yet.

I've never been that fond of "When I Lay My Hands On U" or any performance of it, but I can't stop listening to the 20-minute version from the 4/21 show. It includes one of the best guitar solos I've heard from him in a while.

I'm glad he played a few new songs at the 4/22 show, but what I'd really like to hear is "Lavaux". That song deserves at least one live airing.

Since I don't collect the live shows, I'm wondering how it feels like listening to 2 many variations of same songs over and over and over again. I wouldn't even have the time to do that...you guys are totally nuts.
