Naw. Say what you want about Bart, he always does his homework. He may come across as bitter and angry, but I can't fault the information he presents.

Co-sign. I don´t want to be on anyone´s side here but I have yet to see an inaccurate post by Bart.

In my opinion, his posts and those of the usual suspects who can´t find anything wrong in the things that Prince does are just two sides of the same coin, the org yin and yang, if you will. yinyang

"purple rain" was not a prince solo composition. it was written by prince and the revolution - the whole band, not just prince. also, renata did state in the tweets that the twinz had no clue who wendy and lisa were -- that was not an assumption on bart's part.

ASCAP only has Prince as a registered writer of the song. I've never heard of any bandmember claiming they deserve a credit for "Purple Rain". And I just interviewed Matt Fink for my "Parade" documentary and he said Prince was honest with writing credits and credited people for what they wrote, which is why he has a credit on "Computer Blue" because he came up with the bassline groove that the rest of the song developed from.

Also, to somehow claim that it reflects badly on Prince that his hot young DANCERS don't know who W&L are just bizarre. Totally bizarre. What next? - "Prince sucks because Diamond & Pearl didn't know who Andre Cymone was". lol

I half expect to hear that to come out of some of these haters mouths one of these days. Complete nonsense.

Didn´t Wendy and Lisa claim credit in the bonus material of the anniversary DVD? Then again, they kinda change their minds quite often about that. And Prince has also given writing credits when they weren´t really deserved, and he has forgotten to give credit when it would have been appropriate.

When and where will you release that Parade documentary? Sounds interesting.

How many documentaries, apart from the Tupac documentary, have you done? Are they all online?

edit: When I say they claimed credit I mean that part in the interview where they say "Did Wendy and Lisa write Purple Rain? NO! But we helped in writing it." And Wendy mentions the time when they first played the first chords of it, on Highway 7 (?) and the root of the chord etc.

I don't think writing "two lines" qualifies as writing a entire song. Prince is a thief period. Proof of that is how bad his music has been since wendy and Lisa haven't been in the group. Prince uses people, takes the credit for their work, and then throws them away. And for that....I guess we could call him a genius cause it has made him a millionaire!

Yup here we go again, every single song Prince wrote is crap because Wendy and Lisa left.rolleyes

Prince is nothing without Wendy and Lisa. lol Nothing I tell ya!!!

Well not just Wendy and Lisa...There's also people like Dez, Andre, Matt, and I am sure numerous more..

I think they had very little to do with the song. Certainly not enough to justify anyone being mad at the Twinz/Tamar for having more focus at the Brits and not knowing that the musicians "wrote the songs being played" as some people are complaining about.

Parade documentary is going out on XFM (one of the UK's biggest radio stations) in about 3 weeks time. It will also be online shortly afterward.

The Parade documentary is part of a series called "25" which is looking back at classic albums of 1986. One documentary every month this year. So far we've done Metallica's "Master Of Puppets", Public Image Ltd's "Album" and Depeche Mode's "Black Celebration" - you can listen to all three of those here - http://www.mixcloud.com/xfm/

After "Parade", we're covering albums like Talk Talk's "Color of Spring", RUN DMC's "Raising Hell", Beastie Boys "Licensed to Ill", The Smiths "The Queen Is Dead" amongst others.

When Prince removed the Time as opening act because they got better reviews and Prince would do things disrespectful to Morris Day it did break up his friendship... are you just blindly starting a fight or what. I think your getting to emotional about this.

What would he do and unless you were there, how do you know what's the truth? Do you think that Morris was an angel and never caused any conflicts?

Mong

It's not a one on one conversation in a private setting - if both of these people didn't want others to read what they're saying, they could have emailed each other or phoned each other. So I see nothing wrong in anyone posting the conservation here.

It does confirm my opinion of Twitter being a paradise for egotists with no self-awareness.
