I think something BIG is coming from Prince this year. His name is in the media a lot lately and that usually means an artist has a publicity team out working. Prince is planning something.

What planet do you exist on?

I especially want to hear 'The Divine', although he said that the public isn't ready to handle it yet...makes me think it must be amazing!!

[Edited 2/17/11 8:41am]

Prince: "Hmm... the Divine is the most amazing song I've ever written... Should I release it? hmm... no, they're not ready for that yet. Better fill the album up with Wedding Feast / 77 Beverley Park / Everybody Loves Me instead".

He's hyped up the song so much, he'll never be able to release it now. wink

What a surprise, the usual suspects can't keep my name out of their mouths.... I must be doing something right. lol

Anyway, the not so shocking TRUTH of the matter is exactly as love2thenines2003 stated. The project was wrapped and ready to go, and Prince changed his mind, as he often does. The album then briefly evolved into "Welcome 2 America" with the addition of the title track and "Black Muse", but again, Prince has yet to decide on any release information.

A friend designed the artwork for it.

Hey! I haven't asked and I'm not sure that anyone would be willing to share information at this stage.

The only reason I asked about 20TEN Deluxe in the first place was because Prince himself had spoken about the album to the Belgian newspaper, the French radio station that premiered "Rich Friends", and to the Peach & Black Podcast. Thus, with Prince talking about it and a song being in rotation, it was possible to obtain some information as for all intents and purposes it did seem as if the album was planned for release. C'est la vie.

I can tell you that all of the Welcome 2 America promotional graphics, photos and imagery for the tour were not done "in-house" by Prince, and my friend (as is usually the case) but rather by LiveNation's team of people.

I will try and find some more information if/when we see some more evidence from Prince regarding a new album.

Given that you personally stated that you "enjoy making fun" of me.... which generally is considered a characteristic of a BULLY, I think that "all is fair in love in war".

And you know damn well you made things personal in the other thread. Plus, YOU brought up MY name for no reason in the first place, so you can GTFO with trying to play the victim right now.

Why is it so difficult to get shit into your jherri-curled head? I fucking told you the hilarity of your random ass comments about 20ten Deluxe like a year ago and yet you are STILL getting up in your feelings about shit, trying to make this look like somebody just doesn't like poor wittle Miwitant. Aww.

Except that's not how it is - I'm criticizing your stupid posts about the album and the album only. Your claims about your nonexistant record deal (yeah, I seent that info too) making you all this money is shit YOU spewed on the forums to prove a damn point like anybody can't say whatever the fuck they want on the internet in the long run and not one person on here can "prove" it wrong unless they do the work.

To not comically refer to the huge debacle about you mentioning the existence of a record (in the middle of an already pussy-wetted audience of americans who couldnt get 20TEN) would be a mistake as it was HILARIOUS to watch it unfold.

LMFAO at non-existent. Riiiiiight. I could post photos right now of my release sleeves with Sony BMG and EMI's logo's on them.... that enough for you? Not that I need to, Google would provide you with a fuckton of evidence in about 5 seconds. As if your opinion on what I do means anything. I know where I'm at. You don't, so who's the one making shit up? That's right, it would be you.

You're also the one who doesn't seem to get it. The record EXISTS. Prince talked about it in TWO interviews, he sent a radio station the first single, and he talked about the contents in the record IN DEPTH to Peach & Black (unless you're accusing them of making it up too?)

Furthermore, to assume that he NEVER had any plans to release it in his home country makes absolutely no sense unless you can give ONE reason why he wouldn't.

And finally? You're also accusing the guy who was PAID to create the artwork for the album of lying, too.

So what's more likely? That Prince changed his mind? Or that me, the designer, Peach & Black, the French radio DJ's, the Belgian newspaper, and PRINCE HIMSELF just made up the existence of this mythical album?

Really? Can you provide a reasonable answer? I doubt it.
