Anyone know what happened to this, if it was really considered at all? It's 2011 so I'm guessing it's on the shelf indefinitely.

prince is known for cancelling projects. I think its time to move on and look forward to a new studio album full of new songs. We've already heard 20ten

there is good evidence to say this does exist but ...for whatever reason....he didnt put it out....

Yes, where is the extended version of such classics as, well, I'm drawing a blank at the titles; I know the closing song where he embarrassed himself yet again by attempting to sound like a 19 year old trend chasing hip hop flavor of the month act was rather popular here on the forum, so I guess that would be worth adding another minute or so to; and surely he must have another generic ballad with lyrics equal to what a 14 year old heartbroken teenage girl might scribble in her journal; or, wait, I know: a heckaslammin' return to the linn!

And after 20ten made the Village Voice Pazz and Job list for 2010 (http://www.villagevoice.c...bums/2010/ --keep scrolling you'll get to it within the hour) I would have thought he would have capitlized on a little late year hype by giving us fams the deluxe disc treatment.

Perhaps he's just refining the artwork and it'll be out in the spring?

It's going to be the first release on Armana Records, it will come free with the 7 Disc Sampler, and those who pre-order will get Roadhouse Garden & Crystal Ball II as an extra bonus.

As I keep saying,NEVER get excited about a rumored project until you actually have the CD in your hand!

How do you make an album go platinum when it's either A) unavailable to buy or B) doesn't qualify for that status in the countries it's available in since it's classified as a giveaway?

I would have bought it. In fact, I would have bought at least two, because you never know when the hell this stuff is going to go out of print and you sure as hell know it'll never be back in print.

And if it was one of those multi-disc $12 deals, I probably would have bought even more to give away like I did the last one.

I think something BIG is coming from Prince this year. His name is in the media a lot lately and that usually means an artist has a publicity team out working. Prince is planning something.

I just saw 20Ten Deluxe. It was hanging out with Parade Live, Roadhouse Garden, the 7 CD Sampling Set, Xenophopbia, Crystal Ball 2, and a bunch of other Prince albums not to be.

If you lived in a country where it wasn't released to begin with, you might feel differently.

And he's been talking about "The Divine" since Emancipation. It surely won't live up to 15 years of expectation. If it even really exists.
