Fushia Light Does anyone like this song? It's hot 2 me. Wish there was some info on this one. Better yet, just a clean version!

It was recorded on April 15th 1988, for posible use by Tony Le Mans on his Paisley Park album. Le Mans recorded a vocal for the track but ended up not using the song.

Thanks that's pretty cool info. 1988 huh? I'm not sure what other things were made around that time too, but this one seemed like it could be released anytime and be cool. Maybe its just me?

You can't like this song in the state it's circulating.
It's just a short snipped which Liberation slowed down to death to make it longer and pretend he had the full track.
The real thing is much longer and lively, but it can't be found on any circulating boot.
The correct spelling is FUCHSIA, btw. [Edited 2/10/11 2:10am]

Thanks! Shows u what I know. I thought I was listening 2 the entire song. I guess its just one of those gems that'll stay locked up in the vault.

Vitriol -I just checked and its over 4 mins long and its not a snippet brother it could be longer as it seems to fade out and I can't tell. I think I had that snippet a long time ago that u spoke of.

^No, dear. The full track -being much faster than what's out- surpasses the 6min mark.
The 4:something take is the sloooooooooooooooooooooooowed down snippet.

Mine clocks in at about 4 minutes. I didnt know it was slowed down. But his voice doesnt sound completely slowed down at all....just a notch. It is a pretty good tune...u can still make up most of the words and hear the music..what's not to like? (Unless you of course have indeed heard the whole thing). Straight Jacket Funk Affair

Right! It doesn't sound slowed! It grooves IMO so I don't feel at a loss at all. It is 4:18 The whole thing must be something nice though.

6:36 to be correct. Busy doin' something close to nothing

^ladies & gentlemen, the nail was hit on its very head!

Nah! I think I've already said enough.
It's VERY easy nowadays to get hold of all circulating studio stuff, and it's a real pity you're missing it.

probably right | |

How are we supposed to appreciate something we never heard? I can care less if it is not the whole thing..it's good enough for now. Straight Jacket Funk Affair

Xactly. | |

The main problem is not being incomplete. Unfortunately, we only have -be them longer or shorter- snippets of quite a bunch of tracks.
The main problem is the pitch.

Well I have a pitch changer program..what is it supposed to be in? Straight Jacket Funk Affair

^^I'm not that technical. Maybe VC40 could tell, he's way more into audio software than me.
But then the snippet will be much shorter than 4:18.
In any case, the best part of the song comes at the end, with the horns. [Edited 2/11/11 8:40am]

So basically the more complete version is the better version?
- E-mail - orgNote - ![]() |
^I don't get that question.
We're discussing on one hand a lousy snippet, heavily slowed down and with a terrible sound and on the other a full complete version, with correct pitch and more than decent sound; and you still have to ask 'which is the better version'???
- E-mail - orgNote - ![]() |
pardon me. | |
- E-mail - orgNote - ![]() |
Nah! There's no need to ask for pardon. It's just that I was not sure of what you were asking about...
- E-mail - orgNote - ![]() |
In the end it is really not applicable to a valid conversation when only one has heard the complete version...what can you add to it by discussing only the horns at the end and pitch shift if no one else has heard it...in the end..who cares about something nobody has heard?
