Prince Concert: Your ideal set list I would love to hear your opinions.
I've started mine, but haven't finished it.
Can you tell me, what normally is the ideal amount of songs for a concert. Then I'll know when I am then finished.

Really fun that you posted this, this past weekend I was bored so I created the ideal Prince concert experience, right down to what he'd wear and everything. I have a 21 song set list, with 3 outifit changes and 2 encores, each with 2 songs performed. During his breaks, I have other songs being performed. I wanted a mix of old and new, guitar and piano, dancing, funk, ballads, rock...all of Prince wrapped in 1 concert. Makes a great playlist! Here goes my idea...
-Opens with Pink Cashmere (has a female dancer and he puts a pink cashmere coat on here while she dances around with him), ends with nice guitar solo.
-Future Baby Mama
-Let's Have a Baby
-Hot Thing
-Lolita (female leaves the stage)
-Let's Go Crazy
-Cream
-Endorphinemachine (after a kick ass guitar solo, break time for Prince, outfit change)
-Female comes back on with backup singers and perform Do Me Baby and Kept Woman
-Prince comes back with Sign of the Times
-Musicology
-5 Women (Girl sits on piano while Prince sings)
- If I Was Your Girlfriend
- Blue Light (Similar performance to the Arsenio performance, then Girl Leaves)
-The Love We Make (Prince leaves for another break and outfit change)
-Backup singers sing Lady Marmalade, then female comes back and does Anytime, Anyplace by Janet
-Prince comes back with Call My Name
-Somebody's Somebody (Long Guitar solo)
-Future Soul Song (Prince slowly goes into next song..)
-Colonized Mind
-Beginning Endlessly (At the end Prince puts guitar down and calls for sexy dancers )
-Love (audience members come on stage and dance with Prince)
-Kiss (Audience leaves, Prince does amazing dance, then Goodnight! Prince changes outfit)
-Audience shouts for encore, Prince comes back with the female and does Joy in Repetition (with girl dancing like Aura in GB) and Purple Rain with amazing guitar solos on each, then goodnight..
-Audience wants more, Prince and female comes back and sits down at the piano and does beautiful versions of Little Red Corvette and Electric Intercourse. He leaves the audience in awe, goodnight!

Prince usually plays a 2hr show to work in old and new stuff plus improvistaions and jams, so an exact number of tunes might be hard 2 nail down. lol In between the well known stuff, I'd love 2 hear him tap in2 some fan favs and lesser known songs too.

I highly doubt he could fit all these songs in, so some of them could be bunched into a medley or two, if need be. Notice that for some tunes, I indicated that a "tease" would suffice, since they are too naughty to perform in full!
