I've been contemplating asking this question for a while now, but I didn't know if it would be suitable. If not, mods - feel free to take it down.

It just slithers right along and you're on his ride with him.

The groove, the mix and sound of the song, the vocal layerings,

all of the sound effects.

It's kind of like his funky Dark Side Of The Moon all rolled in to one

I know what U mean, girl! I actually love to have a smoke and put headphones on and listen to Lovesexy really loud...there are others too. I like his trippy, experimental stuff when I'm high...it really takes me there if U know what I mean!

well i dont really get high no more...for no particular reason..but when I did..(last time I smoked weed was 3 years ago) ANY Prince material was suitable..I lived in Zurich in the early 90s and first got a hold of cuts like "all my dreams" and "theres others here with us" ...Hash was the thing, I would freak the eff out listening to "others here" and "all my dreams" was thee best audio experience on hash..and on headphones!

I find whenever I'm stoned, all I want to do is listen to Prince. Even with songs I've listened to 4857 times, I notice something new about it with every listen.

I've never fully embraced Lotusflower before I saw your mention in this thread .. Wow, just wow. I'm a bit late aren't I? From now, I'm gonna give it much more attention.

I know, that's what I did soon after I read the first reply. Couldn't help myself!

I remember the first time I heard this song, I was high relaxing in bed listening to my iPod shuffle, didn't check to see what song it was when it started and the song hit me like a ton of bricks. My jaw actually dropped .. very unexpected.

The first time I listened to the Rainbow Children I lit a candle dimmed the lights & had a spliff. It works very well with weed also "One Nite Alone" and "The Truth" are good stoner records.. Oh and ATWAD... Heck all of them sound good when youre stoned. It's been a while for me though

i have automatic playing on my ipod now.when u listen to this with headphones in the middle when he's talking it goes speakers to speaker in a way it sounds like he's walking around you in circles...thats trippy. this would be a good song to play next time i can get some weed. i barely ever get my hands on any. i gotta get down to my dad's and see my stoner stepcousin!

mmm I remember one of my best trips was on Rainbow Children, such an adventurous record wow. Also noteworthy are Lovesexy and Parade.

I would also like to experience Condition of the heart and temptation in this condition.

lol, what a great topic. Now i've NEVER done any kind of drugs however I suspect that the next time i listen to 20Ten, Rave & NPS I may well need some 'assistance' before hitting the play button!
