I have so many favorite tracks. It all depends what mood I'm in, because I can find anything in Prince's music: crazy songs for dancing or workout, sad blues when I feel blue, Romantic songs when I'm in love, again(haha), jazz songs or instrumental tracks for relaxation or quiet night, sexy dirty songs for special or sexy moments, and list goes on and on.

Thank you Prince, for your beautiful music.

Oh, and when I'm serious, I like to listen to his political or historical songs.

OMG, I can't believe people discuss this in public! Yikes! OK, I will play along, though I have never smoked and never will, there are songs of Prince that makes me feel "out of it"....Joy in Repetition, 3121, Beautiful Strange, Darlin Nikki, Empty Room..

lmao... You're so sheltered. Why would people not discuss it in public?

It's amusing to see people's ignorance about cannabis. Keep smokin' whatever the government is putting in your pipe, though. More cannabis for the rest of us. razz

Some of us make a living in health care, child care and/or government, etc. Seen too many folks posting wild stuff on the net and losing their jobs. A couple of cops near here recently, as a matter of fact. So even if I did get high, it definately wouldn't be discussed on the net. Whatever my personal feelings about it, I've got to continue eating and paying my bills.

I had a weird moment when I was listening to SOTT while under a certain influence. I felt like I had a great revelation...I was thinking about how beautiful Prince is, and that if I, currently a woman, should start dressing in drag as a man, but dress in drag as a man who likes to dress in a feminine way. In my state of mind, this was a genius thought: that I could be as pretty as Prince if I decided to start pretending to be a man pretending to be a woman, instead of just being a woman.

Yeah, it doesn't make much sense to me now, in a sober state, either. But at the time, I really thought I was onto something.

Some people in this board should stop using drugs. Not cool at all, when you mention Prince's music and drugs or being stoned in the same sentence. What a disgrace.

Why bother reading the thread? You know what it was going to be about when you clicked on it.

I misunderstood the perception of the "high" that was used here. At first I thought you were talking about something joyful or climatic.

I LOVE listening to the song 'Crystal Ball' when high. I also really like 'Electric Chair' and 'The Future' from the Batman soundtrack. 'The Rainbow Children' is fantastic when stoned also. Sounds like the OP and I should get together! Our heads are in so many of the same places! wink

It's a disgrace that you seem to be such a big fan yet aren't privy to the knowledge that Prince has a history of drug use of his own, as do his band members. Additionally, cannabis is, in many parts of the world, a medicine used to treat many ailments such as glaucoma, cancer, post traumatic stress disorder, ADD/ADHD, depression, AIDS wasting, obesity, sleep apnea, insomnia, chronic pain, multiple sclerosis, etc...

Not cool at all that you completely disrespect people with your ignorant condemnations.

I hate that it is still so, but here we go... Weed is not a drug. It is not a drug in the sense that it is being referred to here. Weed is a plant - perhaps with some genetic fine tuning these day, but a plant none the less.

What is a disgrace is that people, non-smokers as well as smokers alike, allow this dicussion to happen without the distinciton being made. Is having a legal drink a disgrace if you are listening to Prince music? I would say no, cause it doesn't even seem like a disgrace anymore to have a legal drink and wreck your car and hurt or kill someone. So, irinact, I would love to see you clean your Pot slate and allow some other percpectives into your thought process, free and uninhibited perspectives would be preferable. Free your mind. Come into your own conclusions.

Yes, I heard he used drugs in his earlier years, but those are just rumors. Nobody knows this for sure except P himself. And even if he used, I don't think he does drugs now.

And please, don't mix recreational drugs with medicine, people take them for different reasons.

I don't care if here too many druggies, but don't spread rumors about P taking drugs, because you don't know for sure unless you were smoking joint with him.
